You have a very narrow view then. In my books, if you could roll with them and be competitive, your good enough. Look at Paul Harris, he got second place in the ADCC. You still wouldnt count him as world class despite him dominating right?

Well i think both Aldo and Palhares are great in BJJ and thats world class jiujutsu to me. Aldo just likes to stand and bang.

Palhares is world class BJJ. He would rip your leg off in three seconds.
Also being good enough, and world class are a lot different. That isn't narrow minded.
Once again, being great in BJJ and World Class are two different things.
And great BJJ doesn't always transfer to MMA.

We have different opinions on BJJ then. Anyways, i brought up Aldo's BJJ is because im positively sure Mendes is not going to win by submission, or KO. Only way is through wrestling, and that requires getting Aldo to the mat. Aldo imo, should be BOTH agressive off his back and on his feet.

Aldo is having trouble cutting tho, so i think he might have to move to the very stacked LW division soon, and im 100% sure he can hold his own there.

I agree. If Mendes subs him, something is wrong :/ Same with KO, he has a really good chin too.
I don't see a sub at all to be honest though. He really hasn't been aggressive with those subs in Zuffa banner.
Depending on how he is cutting weight. He was great for the first 4 rounds against hominick, and looked lackluster against Ken-Flo

I don't know how you picked Cro-Cop, he hasn't been the same in forever.
    UFC 138 is this weekend.

Well I figured he would do similar to what Mir did and just out-point Nelson. I definitely didn't see Nelson TKO-ing him.. especially in the third.

Is 138 a PPV card? If so.. I can't bring myself to buy it.

Mir outpointed nelson by taking him down and gnp'ing something Cro-Cop couldn't do.
Also his chin is terrible now, and Nelson knocked out Struve and Schaub before that skid against JDS and Mir.
UFC 138 is free on Spike this Saturday

So ive recently started getting into UFC and last night I watched Ramage v.s. Rashad Evans, and I'm not sure how old the fight is, but I was really disappointed. Rampage is one of my favorite fighters, and he was acting like a complete pussy during the fight. He threw like 2 or 3 strong hits, but in the end Rashad beat him with points. I was expecting some strong hits, but all there was was a lot of holding. Do big name fights usually end up like this?

Well I didn't see Cro-Cop getting taken down by Nelson, but I had given him the edge standing just because of the range I guess. Its really sad that CC is just getting old and starting to wear. He'll always be a legend in the sport though. Not to discredit Nelson though, I mean he's got some serious heart and if he would just lose the fat, he has potential to become great.

I was actually disappointed in that fight myself to tell you the truth. I saw it live and I felt a little let down that with all the trash talking the two of them did, it turned out to be more of a chess match than a banger.

Most big name fights actually turn out great depending on the matchup. Anything with Brock Lesnar is destined to be a good fight, regardless of the outcome, hes never a boring fighter. Jon Jones is just smashing through his division, and this upcoming fight with Machida is sure to be a great fight too.

There are alot of fights you'll see that go to decision, but that doesn't mean they aren't good fights. A strategical match can be just as inciting if not more so than matches where the two go out and slug it out.

I 100% recommend you watch this upcoming card (138) since its free (thanks to pokerking for letting me know that btw), if you can't watch all of it, atleast watch the main event. Leben vs Munoz is going to be an all out war and its gonna be amazing.

Why not? Nelson had 20 pounds on him, better wrestling and obviously better juijitsu
Also Nelson has an iron cast jaw and unbelieveable toughness.
UFC 138 free this weekend, UFC on Fox 1 is next weekend free.

I believe so, and Rampage vs Evans is sort of back and forth action. Both got rocked. Evans showing his superior wrestling is also great.

It is. Also That fight was terrible imo. Rampage almost finished him, but he didn't.
2 free weeks of fights. This then the event of Fox, that should be huge for MMA as a whole.
Also the UFC signed Jon Anik from ESPN, they are going to have a "b" team announcing wise.

Yeah at the end Ramage got some good hits in and I thought he had it, but Rashad got up and it was right back to wrestling style. Have they fought again after that?

No they didn't. That was last may. Rampage isn't the same like he used to be.
