This months 'Behind the Scenes'

I'm making this thread, so all the different individual aspects of these forth-coming updates this month don't get scattered around the forums and create mass spam.

I'm looking forward to the updates, although I personally think they need to rectify the mistakes they've made with the login servers, as so on.

I'm indubitably looking forward to the slayer dungeon, new quest and the re-work/partial graphical overhaul of the Wilderness.

I'd love to elaborate, and I'll extend the content of this thread, with my personal views as I look further into the updates.

What do you expect from these updates, and what are you MOST looking forward to?

That covers one individual aspect of the updates, all you did was include a link to the RS thread. I didn't 'steal' your idea, this is simply to discuss the updates.

 

Were moving farther and farther away from the Old School ages ugh oh well. Hope to like these updates.

 

I know right, I've played on and off since 04 (Mainly off) But kept up to scratch with how things were going. I'd like to think the changes are for the better from now, so far they've disappointingly made the game REALLY easy, yet the long grind for 99's still persists, I remember when there were no skill capes and people just played for fun.

 

I honestly do still just play for fun. I don't really participate in all of this new crap they keep adding. I like to keep it old school. I make ways to enjoy the game, though I will never get the feeling I had in '04-'07. :/

OT: The new website design looks surprisingly good. Looks a little fancier than what they have currently. Still, the original will always be the best.

I'm also kind of excited for this new Slayer update. I'm hoping it will be good, as their most recent attempts at updates for the skill have been a dud, to me. I need a reason to start Slayer up again.

 

Right there with you, I have an account with 95 slayer so I'll be doing 95-99 once I'm back in action! Also the mage armour is surprisingly intriguing, I wander if I could make bank farming it.

 

Runescape has really gone all out for 2011, hope to enjoy the new Slayer Dungeon.

As with all the new updates, if you get it FAST, you will profit majorly on it. Sadly, I don't have 95 Slayer yet. I'll beast it out though if this update proves worthy.

Man, I haven't felt this giddy about playing in a long time. It's a good feeling that I miss.

 

I did it with the 'Whip Vine' update, (didn't farm the item) I bought them at 16m/ea and flipped them for 26m ea (Made about 90m in the space of an hour)
Then they plummeted to 7m ea.

So I'm going to actually farm this one, as not many people have 95 slayer, and there's not more bots (fingers crossed) so it won't be very crowded.

 

Check my other thread mate, all I'm saying is you stole my idea, not the food one, the November update thread...

 

I can't 'steal' your idea, do you own copyrights on a thread that includes this months PUBLIC updates, no, neither do I so you're more than welcome to your thread. I didn't exactly scout the forums for this type of thread as it's completely fresh news, I'm sorry if you're dis-heartened by it, if people want to post on your thread they will.

 

I thought the Whip Vine update was terrible, but I did make quite a bit of money flipping them, haha.

Yeah, 95 Slayer isn't as rare as it used to be, due to botting, but if the bots are still down you will be in the clear.

Go Jagex! Make us proud!

It got me my new gear, so it made me happy. I don't think bots will be back, being honest, it's just a stall (Check the thread) Also, if the updates prevail it'll bring more players back.

 

There's seriously no reason to use demeaning comments like that. Just calm down, lol. He obviously didn't see you posted one first.

As for it being your 'idea': Really? This is a common thing people do, and there's bound to be more than just you that has this idea, but just is too lazy to implement it.

Of course it is a stall. Who wants to lose paying customers? In the end they will lose MORE customers due to lying to them than they would have if they were just reasonable about the time frame they needed. I admittedly botted, but I mainly did because everyone else was. I was tired of being one-upped by fake players.

I believe this update is the beginning of many good ones. As I've stated before, my belief in Jagex is growing stronger. It takes guts to stand up to bots the way they did, and to be as open about it as they are (given they can't be TOO open for obvious reasons.)

 

Don't get mad about it, public information is public, an idea based upon it to discuss the PUBLIC information can be displayed anywhere.

OT; Does anyone know the potential crafting level needed to make the magic armour? Or if it needs one at all, because it mentions that it needs to be 'made'
