2012: In short and without providing any proof I state that tests made on ice taken hundreds of feet below Antarctica prove that the earth is now due for a new "shed of skin". Put simply again, the Earth has shed it's skin (killed every fucker on it) every 15.000 years or so for the past billions of years. We are something like 75.000 overdue for this process - some scientists predict some time in 2012 will be the deadline. Heres something to make you think about that -- why have we evolved so much more in terms of technology than any other know civilisation in the past? Is it because we've had more time? Then again, real technology has only existed for the past couple hundred years.

Well that would be the coldest and least populated place, so the gas would go there right? It's like if you're chongin in your closet and you open the door. The smoke rushes to where there's no smoke. That's why it's all in Antarctica.

What I understood from this graph is that every 100k years or so there is a rise and sudden fall of Temperature/CO2 Levels which represent a change in the Earth?

 

You made sense until you said 2012.. Just because were on the way to another dooms day doesn't mean 2012 necessarily the year. Unless of course you believe the Myans were scientists

 

Woohooo! I'm on drugs too. I post harebrained theories in SFA with no proof whatsoever corroborating my hypothesis! Intelligent discussion mandates that you show/explain your logic/evidence. Our ice core samples(spanning hundreds of thousands of years) have shown that the earth's temperature follows a consistent pattern. Shit's changing and diverting from the norm at a radical and unprecedented pace. In 150 years we've completely fucked up CO2 levels, damaged the ozone layer, and raised the average temperature. 150 years is an incredibly, short time for such colossal changes. This isn't mother nature "shedding its skin".


We've modernized to such an impressive extent because of opposable thumbs.

 

What kind of drugs are//were you on? I'd love to contribute to this, a sticky is in order for people who want interesting conversation with others also under the influence of (x) drugs. Members would only be allowed to post if they were in-fact high/intoxicated. You'd have to specify which drug you'd be on, your response to the topic at hand, and proposal of new topic. This could be neat.

How can you prove the earth is billions of years old? Carbon dating is only accurate by a few thousand years, even the person that made it. What other alternative is there?

 

We are due for a wipe out... the earth is a terrible place, with terrible people. People/things after us, please do better.

 

We're just a small step in evolution we'll be extinct at one point then the next group will evolve into something better..

 

There has not been a single documented time where the earth has "shed its skin" as you claim...

 

This is why drugs are bad.
