Why do you play runescape?

Runescape just isn't as fun as it used to be. But everyone has a definition of "the old days".

 

I quit rs , never coming back

 

Mostly to make money. I get bored of playing quickly, but PvM, flipping, staking, PKing, luring is all somewhat fun. I can't skill legit at all and I just give up after a few minutes. Luckily I maxed out most of my accounts already, so I don't have to worry too much about leveling. I always lose interest in runescape after 3-4 months of playing, but always come back a few months later. I can only enjoy it if I take breaks.

 

Pk'ing, staking, spending money, etc.

Still have fun after playing since 2004.

 

Yeah my favorite memories were definately when I first started playing and I would go f2p pking on pures in multi varrock wild

 

Staking. And hoping to make it really, really big.. One day.

 

Pking. That is it.

 

Its fun and at the same time I can make IRL profit from it.

 

I guess it's just an addiction and a hobby, something to do when I'm bored. I also have a dream of becoming a famous Pker, haven't made that much progress since I started that dream 2 years ago. I play Runescape, get bored and poor on it the move to private servers, then come back play for a couple of weeks and then the cycle continues. But honestly, I wish my friend never introduced me to Runescape.

 

Before sythe, i played to make mils, and get skills.

During sythe, i played to buy/sell bils, and fuck skills

 

sometimes to PK, but mainly to log in, rwt, and log out.

 

To have fun.

 

I was addicted to online poker, It got to the point where I don't even go to school anymore just so I coult play poker. It was easy to bypass the age verification back then but now they ask for ID and credit card stuff. I could earn about £25-50 in a good day and the feeling when your deep stacked in a table...but when you hit a losing streak that's when trouble starts lol when I go bust I'd just "buy in" and say to myself I'll get it back... 80% of the time I don't lol.I think I lost about £600-700 on online poker so one day I decided to quit I just left my account dormant lol. then like 3 months later they emailed me saying they're gonna charge me £3 for being inactive for a certain amount of time so I emailed them to close my account and delete all my details... that's when I decided I gotta find a new addiction, that's where Runescape come in......

I'm 20 now btw, I still play poker IRL but not online anymore. my rsn is "Party Poker" lol

 

To be exact the old days were 2001-2007. Been playing Runescape on and off for roughly 11 years... SRS (3 years break in total) .. Funny thing is Im only 130 CB



Games shit in comparison to how it was. Runescape back in the day was about having fun, doing what you want and how you want. Now you got all these stupid safety pre cautions, barriers, ditches... and loops to make everything safe in the game.

It was fun when you could scam people, lure people easily... and have this open concept around you. The game itself is trying so hard to feed its community, and get them back through stupid "bonus weekends, discounts, auras.. and reward points". Fuck that shit, it was fun when the game was simple and dangerous. Features in the game like Graves, make it boring and less risk worthy.

 

Agreed with the risk. The game defiantly got worse for me when I started botting

 

I mainly quit because bots got nuked, but now since some like RiD are still available, i've slowly come back.

i play rs becuase its fun and there isnt many thinks else to do

 

I haven't "played" in years. I only botted accounts with the intent to sell them for a profit. Since the nuke, I've loaded up RS all of 4-5 times.

 

i started playing because i moved country and didnt really settle in well wanted to go back to all my friends i used to be outside 24/7 when i moved country, i was home 24/7...

then i moved houses and i started going out again and i quit =]
