I am possibly buying a white 1995 camaro, and if I do I would like to paint it with the typical yellow and black racing stripes (yes bumblebee). From what I have heard a car paint job can be very expensive, and I really don't have the money for one. How risky would it be for me to do the job myself? I mean its really simple, all yellow with 2 black stripes.

There's next to no risk, if it goes wrong you can do it over with the extra paint (You're bound to buy more than you need) And it's also a relatively simple paint job, just mask over the obvious parts you don't want to paint, get a spray paint compressor and you'll be fine.

Spoken like someone who knows NOTHING about painting a car.

Cars don't require house paint or spray paint. they require special paints, primers, and finishes, as well as proper covering to make sure the rest of the car doesn't get painted. Next time you want a good answer on "what do I do with my car" ask a professional.

I've been fixing cars for about 10 years now. Don't paint your own car, you'll regret it a ton.
