That isn't middle-manning the trade. He would collect the 2b from me + his service fee, I would give him my password, you would provide him the code. He would enter the code, if it works, you get your money, if not, I would get a refund. Him giving you money before he controls the trade just doesn't work, as there is still the possibly you ditch after receiving 1b.

 

Not on Sythe, sythe was named the worst by many players I speak to: Stokenut, Gross Gore, Wtf Elvemage etc.

Tbh Lumby - Just so you know, refusing to use an OMM is a very large indication of a scammer. There are many OMM's here on Sythe who are EXTREMELY trusted and have traded far, far more than a 500M/2B trade. A trade that small would not be worth risking their whole Sythe career, OMM business, and recieving a permanent ban. These people have far more to gain by continuing to OMM over the longterm, and will make much more than 500M or 2B if they continue to do so.

It is extremely rare for people to trade large amounts of GP without using an OMM, especially to somebody who is new to this forum, has 12 posts, and absolutely no vouches. Not trying to flame or spam your thread here but I just simply want to offer you some advice, otherwise you are just wasting your time posting here because it will take you forever to find somebody who is willing to hand that much cash to a newcomer. The reason OMM's even EXIST is for this exact purpose, to ensure that large transactions like this are as secure as possible and to eliminate the chance of anybody getting scammed. Using an untrusted MM is a totally different story, and I would not reccomend using a free one for a large trade like this. Go to the MiddleMan forums and check out a list of all the Official Middlemen. There are some fantastic ones, including many who are Mods:

I hope that you consider using one, or its very unlikely anybody will trade with you, and very likely that this thread will either be disregarded or you may recieve a TWC or something like that for acting so suspicious. Anyways, sorry for sticking my nose in your business, but I was reading this thread and just thought maybe I could offer you some useful advice and hopefully change your perspective and ease your nerves about trading here on Sythe. I feel sorry for anyone that falls for his scam.
If you've gotten scammed over 30 times with a OMM then you should start learning from your mistakes. (You don't even have 30 posts, so that's probably a lie unless you're a ban evader.)
I'm interested in the golden scythe, but not if it involves a 50/50, (you can obviously just scam for 1bil) or me going first. Sorry to say but a OMM is the only choice, pick one that you didnt get scammed by 30+ times like you said... Please let me know if you choose to proceed in a way that desnt scream out "scammer"...

 

Honestly i may receive an infraction because i'm commenting without interest to buy, but please sir you have scammer written on your forehead if you do not want to proceed with an OMM. That is all.

Sythes are locked to the RS usernames. All of them had to give their RS names when they received it. I know 3 winners personally.

I don't know about locked, but I just read that they had to provide their usernames when they received the code, and since my account is of such high status I withdraw my offer due to the risk. I'm also curious to see what will happen to any accounts that redeem the hood because we all had to provide our display names for that aswell. It would be pretty funny to see them run a scan and ban anyone who redeemed one and didn't attend.

Here I'll tell you what, why don't you listen to what I have to suggest, and work this way, this way, there's no one that could possibly steal your code.

Get an OMM, ask buyer give 2b to OMM, OMM now has 2b

OMM confirms he has 2b, buyer gives you account details

You redeem the golden scythe, provide picture proof, OMM gives you 2b

How's that?

I lol'd, please read my post above, if you can't even agree to the method I have suggested, (0% chance of OMM stealing your code, unless he wants the 2b of the buyer), no lose/risk to you anyways, so what's stopping you.

And seriously, 5 figure salary? You can't even spell salary, how are you getting a 5 figure salary? Transporting drugs? That's illegal.
