If I were you I would look for a full time job or find anyway to increase your income and save up 9-12k before you buy a car and get a nice convertible roadster with an optional hardtop. Look into an Audi TT, around 2001 would be your best bet, or even a 1999-2001 BMW Z3. They're both great cars with decent performance (the TT is a little slow accelerating, but still faster than the average car, by a lot) and you'll enjoy them for a long time. You could probably find one of each for around 10k with no more than 70k miles on it. That's what I would do, or if you're paying for your own insurance might want to look at something cheaper, like a Mazda3 or Mazda6, you'll be impressed with the performance on both, considering the prices.

If your budget it really tight, look for a Chevy Malibu Maxx, it's a hatchback with an unnessecarily powerful core. A friend of mine uses it as his daily driver and beats the hell out of it with no problems at all.

I'd have to get an amazing price to convince me to buy a boxster, those things have been known to be money pits. Spend 15k on a used one and a month later 15k on a new engine because the coolant is leaking into the oil, bad news.

2008 honda civic, It was cheaper then most cars, i bought it used this past summer it had 6,000 mi on it , so it was practically brand new.

I love it to death, me and my baby have had some awesome times already, she gets around 35 Mi / gallon which is fantastic. She looks fairly nice, in the next few weeks / months im getting the back windows completely blacked out and leaving the front ones clear, im improving my sound system. I love my car lol.
