Lately I've been thinking about getting 13 def. Opinions?

I've had this idea for about a month or two but still am unsure if I want to do it. I think it'd be sick to have rune gloves and black (g) though. I honestly never pk anymore due to wafers etc. Here's my stats: 60 atk, 84 str, 1 defence, 52 pray, 94 Mage, 80 range. I've got a firecape, addy gloves, anchor, every weapon a 60 atk pure can use. So tell me, should I got for it. Black (g), defender, and rune gloves seem pretty appealing still. And no, I'm not going 20.

 

Stay at 1 Def, the only other def level you should go for if you want is 45 for Turm.

 

On my f2p pure, I went for 10 def. Stats are 45 att, 83 str, 10 def, 83 mage, 1 pray, 50 range.

Well worth it, imo. Combat robes + gravite 2h/staff and the dung necklace is unbeatable.

 

There's only one way to find out; get it. In the longer run you'll like the functionality of the account, being able to use slayer helmet, rune gloves, korasi, black trinmed, and defender.

 

13 def isn't worth it man. It really ruins the account... if your going to go for defence, atleast get 20 or 30 or 40. 13 is so pointless and I think you will end up regretting all the extra combat for so little gain.

Also - If you are going to get defence, you should quest as much of it as possible. Or else you will most likely REALLY end up regretting it.

 

i would stay at 1 defense unless your planning on being a zerker pure, 13 defence just isn't neat and will make your account value drop.

I will quest it. I'll have 13 def after nature spirit. If I hate 13, I'll be able to get 20.

 

Unless you're getting Korasi, you'd be an idiot to get 13 defense, since you aren't going 20.

Ahh ok, that atleast makes more sense to me now. I thought 13 defence was a random number you pulled out of a hat and was like :huh: ...

How many combat levels will you gain from 13 defence levels? Your stats aren't even that great (no offense), and so I think 13 defence would be an even worse idea as you are going to be quite weak for your level. You should get 99 strength first.

 

Get it, the pros outway the cons. with 13 def you get rune gloves, slayer helmet, black armor(get a trimmed set to look nice) , more combos, you can always get 20-25 defence for mystic/infinity robes and initiate armor to

 

I wouldn't do it.

12 defence levels for a one tier increase of glove access isn't worth it.

Not worth it, at the time it may seem like a good idea but it almost never is.

I went from 1 to 5 defence, got bored so I went to 10. Went from 10 to 20, also got bored and went to 42. 42 was probably the biggest mistake so I just gave up and made it into a main.
