Scammed by Ryza as well

I meant to simply reply and add on my story to serenitymoon's- however, it would not allow me to.

I posted my first thread on sythe after lurking awhile, trying to learn how things worked, here: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1262664

It was generally ignored besides the one nice post, however the user Ryza messaged me about selling neopets.

I had seen this user selling before while lurking, and with vouchers on his profile and all- it seemed legit. They were very friendly at first, providing me with information and prices, name formats etc.

Then it came time for buying, I settled on a UC Faerie Wocky for $40. They provided me with their paypal information and said it was fine to mark it as a gift.

Clearly my naivity in this situation was my achilles heel, because I sent first (as I knew they were supposedly a 'trusted user'). I waited, and waited. I went to bed.

The next morning I messaged them again, hoping they'd just gone offline! Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt-
I've heard nothing.

I tried to message a couple mods to ask what my next steps should be, and heard nothing. (I have since spoken to one of the mods who I messaged and they were very polite and helpful ^^)

Then I saw another user post that she had also bought things from Ryza, and also not received her 'product', so I messaged her. We spoke and it was clear that Ryza cut contact with both of us as soon as he received our money.

He has not responded and I've simply asked nicely to hear 'something', anything regarding my transaction.


I know I can not claim my money back, and I did know this was a possibility when I began this endeavor. However, that does not change the fact that a supposedly trust worthy user has taken my $40 without sending what they promised.

Should this change and he decides to follow through, that would be great. I do not see this happening, at any rate. Almost 36 hours later, and he has been online talking to (and scamming) other users, so I somehow doubt I am getting my UC Faerie Wocky.


If there are screenies I should provide- I can. I'm simply unaware of what I should be doing in this process, it's new to me.

I will be happy to provide a mod with the username in the mail and the user/pet name on the transfer screenie shown, I just didn't feel comfortable posting it here.

 

Do you have proof of the paypal payment?
