I like how they called them "Fagex".
It's not very professional, and I don't have high hopes for any of my iBot scripts that I bought. I still think iBot sold us out.

If they're using information that is obtained illegally to do it pretty serious..
Every forum has them, and no I'm not going to infarct you for an opinion, especially one offsite, haha.
Not sure what you said in this post to be honest.

Its because due to copyright risks certain trademarks, etc are filtered. And if you want to look at the court documents I have provided you with a link.

This is the first nexus ETA.

Why is the term 'Fagex' used so often?

I'm fairly positive he means 'Jagex'.

Considering Jagex is merely a business such as many other companies, they're not in the wrong when trying to seek legal action, although their method of this is wrong, their morality isn't.

Thanks for the share though and I hope this is all resolved as soon as possible.

Because for legal reasons RSBots cannot say Jagex on their website.

    This is so awesome lol.

Very interesting read though. It would be great if Jagex was forced to legally retract any statements and emails they have made previously, and had to send out a shameful apology letter to anyone who recieved that email. It is possible that they knew what they were doing was illegal and that they would eventually be forced to take back what they said.. but the effect is probably still massive among all the young kids who got that email and are terrified of being sued if they bot ever again. Amongst the casual botting demographic I could see this email having already done significant damage and scared off any casual botters.

    You sir are forgetting something,

We by playing their game they created agreed to their ToS.

Of which you may remember it is against the rules to Bot.

They are most certainly not a failed company, they have created my most favourite game EVER.

    Yes i do bot.

    BUT

Jagex ARE NOT a fail company.

Compensation for damages is potentially on the table.
I've been over this at least twice, its for legal reasons.
    RSBots home page.
They have the right to ban you but not to use informational they obtained illegally to do so. It is comparable to if they used software to view processes running on your computer without your consent.

Ah, I'm glad you cleared up the fact that calling them "Fagex" is for legal reasons, as I forgot to add that in my response. The fact that they are called Fagex every single time they list their name is just very unprofessional and doesn't make Nexus look very good, as it looks immature.

Makes sense that they wouldn't be able to list the companies actual name though, in protection of the pending lawsuit.

To be honost nobody has the right to complain, we initially broke their ToS by macroing.

And at Runefest MOD Mark said that Jagex has spent 10's.. yes 10's of Millions on the legal battle upcoming with Bot Developers.

Now a multi-million pound company such as -Jagex- , I am almost completely sure they would not do something illegal, HOWEVER i do believe they will have found some sort of loop hole in the America Legal system,

I however may be incorrect what do i know? Im not a Lawyer/Law student/ educated on law :)

This is your position (if you used PayPal to buy a bot)

PayPal gave your email, address, name, etc to Jagex's lawyers because that information was intended to only be viewed by their lawyers. To make sure this was binding, impsoft lawyers successfully made it illegal for any employee of Jagex to see this information. When Jagex's lawyers handed over your information your privacy was violated.

What it of course comes down to is was the handing over of this information legal or illegal. Impsoft claims it was illegal in this motion. Jagex will mostly refute this claim and the usual, long legal process will begin.

Shouldn't PayPal be at fault not them ?
I know that they were given the information with rules, but why were they given the information if the transactions are suppose to be kept secret anyways ?

No, PayPal was subpoenaed to provide this information. In order to get it Jagex's lawyers stated that only they would have access to it and it would not be handed over to any Jagex employees. This became legally binding.
Also if you doubt this, Doc. No. 82 in the civil case 1:10-cv-10216-NMG in the Massachusetts District Court

Excited for bots to come back though.

Why is this funny? Do you want RS to die?

And FYI : Before I get called out for having a gold shop - look at my join date. I've been loaded in RS for a long, long time now (I had multiple phat sets back in 2005), which I've been selling off slowly over time. I wasn't running 50 blue dragon bots, ruining the game for legitimate players, to farm gold.
