Why are the gold prices still stable at around .5c/m? Even cheaper than that too? I figured since all the goldfarmers got banned/bots being down would have caused the price of gold to go up considering it's now harder to mass gain gp? Or is it still the same because bots should be back soon?

It is the same but the range of buying/selling has changed. I just recently talked to someone buying for .7/m. And its only been a week since bots have been down. People don't need it yet probably. And people know bots will be back up soon so they are just waiting till they come back.

People's expectations are high, they indeed think bots will be back soon, as the above poster said. But if they're not back anytime soon, or the specific bots needed to goldfarm, then it will probably rise, just gotta wait and see..

Yeah, gold prices are definitely up if you haven't noticed. Even taking a look at PlayerAuctions it's at about .70/M.

I envy the bulk gold buyers. If bots don't return they could see 100% return of what they were buying at 2 weeks ago (however, I see prices settling at .55 for buying and .70 for selling). Could go higher if rs was incorporated on consoles because there would be a lot more players due to frequency. Jagex probably has a business plan that will replace the botting income.

Think I sold my gp at the wrong time .

    Dammit.

It's just going to keep on going up and up until botting is back.

impulse is still having court case with jagex so people just look at how it going to end. If jagex wins then the price may goes up.

I believe that case has been going on since '09. What matters a lot more is when bulk goldfarming picks up again.

TBH it should stay at .5-.6.. Any thought of an increase is just a knee jerk reaction to the past events.

Gold flippers don't want to see an increase in price per gold as effectively there margins will remain the same i.e they buy at 10 sell at 20 - it's no difference if they buy at 40 - sell at 50.. just means people will buy less as it is more expensive hence gold flippers making less profit.

Lots of top sellers are having trouble getting the same amount of gp they were getting before the update, which was to be expected. Gp is still going up. Botted gp isn't completely out of the game, but in time it will be if bots don't come back. And at that point gp will be at its peak.

Seen as RSbuddy is coming back Sunday-Monday.
I wouldn't count on it rising much more.

Because farmed gold was a small portion overall. I'd say that majority of gold being sold is made from staking.
