Heard it was from the Runefest, and only 25 in-game!!!!!!

Yes. I probably didn't say it loud enough. Only 25 in the game.

What if you're selling an account that has a golden scythe? What value would it add to the account's value? Probably $50USD? Considering the tickets to the Runefest needed to play the "event" there to obtain this special thing.

IMO Golden Scythes just completely destroyed out classic scythe. It makes me feel like having one means nothing now.

Fuck this, they just ruined the coolness of the classic scythe. Even if there's only 25 of them, no one will care about the old scythe anymore. God Jagex is stupid as shit.. there's a ton of other things they could have made without fucking with the vets.

 

Implying that 25 more people with scythes would ruin thousands of other players who have it.

 

it's not 25 people, there were 100s doing the thing, and they were giving them out like cupcakes.

I didn't bother doing the event in the end, as it was too time consuming.

 

Rightly so, because those loyal players who have stuck with Jagex for an entire decade now see Jagex releasing content that is entirely demeaning to their avid loyalty. Jagex proceeds to continually release new content that pisses off their veteran player-base.

btw oxodium is selling runefest hoods (only 1000 in game available i think)

 

I'll reiterate, the quiz involved simply finding a few clues from the 'grim reaper' which were bits of paper placed around in obvious spots, then you just needed to check the forums for the rest, which was done by the rs players. Or, by the time I got round to it, most people had kindly posted it all with correct answers on the forums.

I can safely say it was not 25 people, they pretty much gave them out to all those who gave a decent attempt to it, from what I saw anyway.

EDIT: There were also other items given out for completing other tasks, none of which I bothered with.
