Would u go to runefest?

How do you come to tell your parents that your are going to "Runefest"? Personally I think that if I went, I would never be able to tell anyone about it. Thats just so embarrassing, not to mention the people that go there are probably weird as fuck. People on the Runescape forums seem so excited about it, I'm not trying to be a prick, but it's almost like someone would have to pay me thousands of dollars to go and even then I would feel so awkward around people at a "runefest".

So would you go to runefest?

Nope, despite what I've heard, I think it's a pretty unpleasant event

 

personally i wouldnt go, but i wouldnt mind walking past the the entrance to see what strange people are outside lol

Being insecure about your hobbies to the point of being embarassed about them is far weirder than attending a gaming con.

 

Not a hardcore rs player so i wouldn't go. Plus i don't have the money to fly half way across the world. and the above poster is 100% right. Haha.

 

I'd only go if I had like 4 more people with me. I still wouldn't really want to go, but if my friend's wanted me to/got me a ticket, I'd probably go.

I don't see why you guys play this game if its such and "embarrassment" to you...Me personally...I don't care if people know I play runescape...My gf knows (we live together so obvious she knows) and if people ask what I do online, I tell them...

I would want to go to runefest if I could afford it...I mean chances at exclusive items, a bunch of people that like rs just like you, etc...seems like it would be fun....

I always pictured people that are ashamed of playing rs are the types that are into sexual things that they do then end up crying about later...like sitting in a shower rocking back and forth saying "I can't believe I did that"

 

Theres enjoying the game in some down time and there being obsessed with a game to a point thats almost weird/creepy

If I didn't have to pay I'd probably go check it out for 15 minutes or so.

If it was free... Still no.

 

Na, not worth the money. Plus I'd probably get into a fight with one of the J-Mods for never making me a P-Mod.
