Botters are banned?

I got to hear that a huge amount of botters are banned, But if they actually are, why the rankings are not going higher? I was at 56k for 19m str exp for example, and still there.

I heard the bans happened before the update and the update just disabled bots, i don't know anybody who got banned though and i know alot of botters including myself. Bots should be back online too, all the update done was stop bots temporarily.

They just dont log-in to their goldfarmers... Because whats the point

 

I don't think many people got banned, but I think it's more a case of the "new technology" that they have will detect bots, so future bots will get banned? Maybe?

 

I believe that the update was just to stop the bots from working, no accounts were actauly banned. Although I may be wrong.

 

I've been botting. Haven't been banned yet.

Kind of scary watching 1,000 player counts on the majority of the worlds drop to 50 per world.

 

Bots weren't banned yet. But they did stop the programs that run the bots. (Most of them).

 

I've still gained a couple thousand ranks in total while having gained no exp.

So some people, at least, are being banned.

I'm not sure but I think it's just to stop bot 'cause I haven't log on RS since I heard the upgrade was coming.

 

You guys realize the update wasn't to ban 98% of the bots. It was to stop 98% of the bots. They just banned a few that kept botting prior to the update.

 

Because some accounts which have supposedly been banned might not have had any combat experience, or in your case any Strength experience therefore you did not move 'up' any ranks.

Lots of people got banned, I didn't though.

 

because the accounts are still there, they just have temporary bans for now. at least most of them have temp bans

 

Go watch Runesharks Runefest video its quite interesting, a MOD was up on stage speaking only about the botting incident, He said they are banning 9000 account/minute.. + they are sueing the bot developers i highly suggest watching ...

Bots are mainly disabled. Some are banned, but the majority are not.

 

Already banned 5 million goldfarming accounts, by the end of Sunday (Today), another 7 million account banned?

Very unrealistic figures in my opinion.

I didn't hear about them suing bot developers as the audio wasn't the best quality.
