Runescape Clan Directory

I know we have several stuff for Dicing clans with their own section etc... But I'd like to suggest that you open a "Clan Directory" on the forums. What I mean by that is that people can go to the directory and create a thread advertising their clan etc....

Within the thread they post their Thread Layout and also their Signature banner as advertisement their website IRC channel contact information and all of that etc...

You can also make sections such as:

Skiller Clans:
[Clan Here] [Website Here] [Banner Here] [IRC Here]

Pure Clans (1-30 Def):
[Clan Here] [Website Here] [Banner Here] [IRC Here]

Rune Pure/ Zerk / Tank Clans:
[Clan Here] [Website Here] [Banner Here] [IRC Here]

Main Clans:
[Clan Here] [Website Here] [Banner Here] [IRC Here]

Pking Teams:
[Clan Here] [Website Here] [Banner Here] [IRC Here]

Luring Teams:
[Clan Here] [Website Here] [Banner Here] [IRC Here]

Merching Clans:
[Clan Here] [Website Here] [Banner Here] [IRC Here]

And also add many more sections or stuff like that... (This is just a sampler if your interested in making this section just contact me via pm I've got more ideas to share too lazy to type all though)

Another good suggestion would be to add a sticky that has all the clans put into a section and seperated among what type of clan they are like a Skilling, Pure, Main, Merch, Lure, or any other clans there maybe.

So take this suggestion into consideration and I would love to see this on the forums

 

You definitely did not provide near enough detail as to what you are trying to suggest, although I do get the gist of it.

However I do not ever see this happening as Sythe.org does not centrally revolve around RuneScape as there is already a large dedicated section(s) for it.

I would also see this to be useless if it were implemented.

Well it doesn't only have to be for Runescape it can be for any game tbh... I just used Runescape as an example...

 

You don't understand the point. New sections are made when a lot of threads with the (roughly) same subject are made. As of now, I barely see any clan threads, so there's no need to make sub-forums for this.

Maybe there are no clan threads being made because there is not a section for it? It's not like it would make the site worse it's more of a benefit...

 

People could just put it in (game-name) General, it's not that much trouble. I think these subforums would be very empty.

 

Although you disagree, I still beleive it would be an asset and I appreciate you taking a look and considering it anyways...

 

The same applies for other game genres.

Unfortunately it would not be an asset to Sythe.org as already mentioned by mill3n, it would simply be a 'dead' section/sub-section as I foresee it as an inactive area.

 

Could be good, Might bring negative rep on the clans though.

 

Im sure that if you or someone else comprised a list of these clans in an organized way that it would be stickied. Making a suggestion about it is pretty unnecessary considering you can make this if you want it.

 

In some ways yeah, but everyone is always looking for clans so they can come to this forum for publicity

True... I might create a list and put it out there and see what happens...
