OT: Jagex can claim to do whatever they want, but the fact is that they infringed upon privacy laws to get your e-mail and rather than sending you something about the game they sent you a personal e-mail (also illegal).

They can't do anything besides ban/remove an account or interfere with your account inside the game itself. The ToS mentions nothing about being sued and therefore you are at no legal risk.


What the fuck is Jagex thinking? How are they going to sue a majority of 12 year olds? Good luck.

I received this message, probably because of my Macro Minor from 4-5 years ago. Jagex confirmed on the official forum that they sent this out.

 

Ya I only use nexus or idung and I never got a message.
but I only but like 18-20 hours at a time not like 40 hours with an hour brake like some people do

Because I always see "Dear RSN" when it's from Jagex. Maybe they changed.

I botted for 86 hours straight on my 99 wc lvl 3 Mage logs mule, right up til the nuke.... Botted till I dced from the game actually. Didn't get the email on that acc. My main which the only thing botted on it was Dungeoneering, got the email? What's up with this lol... Over 1k hours of bot time on the mule and a reset or two, actually. And no email? I'm disappointed jagex.

I got the FBI JTTF on me for j0kin around about bein a terr0rist.. NO joke here. But they left after they realized I wasnt serious. They have offices in a lot of places..

 

jagex is uk, not us. can't get the fbi on us, they have to get the SAS to get us (call of duty reference ftw)

 

It's a scare tactic. Don't shit yourself or loose sleep over this. The smart thing to do next time, is don't buy bots on an email that is linked to a Runescape account.
