Pure Help

Hi all,

I'm really getting tired of paying to play rs and I have decided to make a f2p pure I am really thinking rapier or 2h 1def pure. I want to eventually pk with this account or stake im thinking 45 atk, 99 str, 1 def, 52 prayer, and 70rng. The only problem is that I don't want to have to pk using range very much I'm kinda wondering if this can be done (successfully). I have a decent cash pile though that won't matter since its f2p.

Does anyone have any similar accounts or any advice it will be helpful. If I get alot of posts that make this plan sound good I'll start a post showing my progress and I would love all the support I can get.

If your planning on staking, prayer becomes redundant, if your planning on getting gravites,i suggest longsword, from my experience off my gravite pure... Rapier hits high yes.. but it doesnt contionously combo to the point where rune scim is better, Gravite 2h hits high yes but if you want to get full potential of it you need to swap the attack style to the third option, With this comes another problem forgetting to swap back the style and getting defence xp.

I'm going to pk thats the point of the prayer so I can protect 1 so you are saying the rapier is no better than a rune scimitar? And can you give me a little idea of how you pk?

 

You can't use a rune scim and gravite 2h to pk. On slash for rune scim it switches to controlled for g 2h.

 

my brother runs a simliar account like this, 40 attack with range, he does range --> 2hander, it also works well becuase you can just do straight up scim/2h or in your case rapier/2h

 

i'm just trying to stick away from having to rely on range anyone know the max dps for the maple short with addy arrows

 

I dont know the maxed,i think its 140
However, I am curious, are you going to level up in f2p?

 

I was planing on it but it is very difficult with the low xp rates

 

dont get 52 prayer if you are f2p pking,you cant use smite.....

Don't make an account like this.. Too many of them out these days and you'll just be fighting people with the same stats.

Best pure to make:
Turmoil
99 Strength
70attack/80
80 Dung(if 80 attack)
45 or 33 defence(cant remember how much turmoil gives you)
94 magic+lunar.

 

tbh just prod a gravite rapier.

 

I suggest to get 1 in ALL skill except for defense, make that 80 with full dragon (if your a member) or full rune if your (free player), and you will be a BEAST. Stake 1M a day and sell that gp!!

 

tbh 52 pray is pointless if its going to be a f2p pure

 

For a F2P pure, all you really need to do is base your character so that your low defence, 40 attack, and as high strength and ranged as possible. This allows you to use BOTH popular attack styles in F2P, ranged > 2H combo, or scim > 2H combo. You can substitue the scim, or the 2H for the appropriate gravite weapon if you choose to use gravite.

The only problem I see with the character thus far is your desire to get 52 prayer. Definitely not necessary for F2P... I would stay as low prayer as possible, and if you really think you need it for the extra strength/attack boosts, then go 31/34 maximum. 52 is completely unnecessary as you cannot smite on F2P and will give you quite a few unwanted combat levels!

 

This. I have quite a number of F2P pkers accounts, and Ranged really is the more superior. Well, other than Gravite.

To answer your earlier question, the max hit with Adamant arrows and a Maple Shortbow is 160 or 170, I believe without prayer at 99 Ranged.

If you really feel up to it, get a Gravite Rapier/2h and just stake a rune scim/2h with no skull. Gravite weapons really rip in F2P.

For Prayer I'd really suggest 1, unless you plan to completely max out at 45 attack, and 99 Ranged/Str. In which case I'd get 31 for the extra damage. It's worth it for the few combat levels gained.
