    BTW this is going to be a gaming and visual media PC

    a laptop

    i have a computer case, a hd and a disk drive that are functional

    i threw out the motherboard and ram due to them not working

    NEW rig idea
    Get a better PSU(550w corsair, antec, seasonic, silverstone minimum IMO)
    Get a P67 or Z68 motherboard(asus, asrock, gigabyte, msi, evga) so you can overclock the processor. :)

    Yeah look at the dimensions of the 212+ and make sure it'll fit in your case. It's a pretty massive cooler.

    Also, if you have the money... invest in Z68. It's the better chipset. I'm assuming since you were looking at the Sabertooth you can afford to put a little more into it. Z68 has SRT and Virtu which is worth the upgrade in and of itself imo.

    Btw, not trying to sound like a wannabe mod or anything, but next time you should probably stick to one thread. Just a suggestion.
