[RiD] Having problems? Look here!

Again read my post. We don't like people spamming on other forums nor do we encourage it.

The thing is, most of the spammers come from the other forums then start spamming (after the nuke)

 

Again, this isn't an advertisement for it. If you can link me to people blatantly advertising RiD I'd be surprised.

this thread's just because a lot of people are asking why they can't get on the site, what do you want?

Also the website's currently up, if you're having issues try taking the steps in the first post. Some people are still having issues though.

 

Uhh... What are you suggesting? I've been on this forum since 2010, so I haven't 'suddenly appeared,' the reason why a lot of the other users are saying they are from RiD is because our forum is being DDoS'd, as is obviously apparent right now, and they need somewhere to communicate with each other and understand what is happening.

Also, you may notice that RSBuddy also has a thread updating us about their status, so this thread is no different. You base your argument on fallacy and you seem like a madbro.

I'd be willing to bet a large sum of GP on the fact that RSBuddy will be out of commission for a month to start. Anyone wanna take me up on that bet? Binding of course

 

We weren't saying this is advertisement, but I have been around a couple of forums and saw pretty much the same copy of the thread Trent! posted last night about the guys at moparscape BSing in IRC. It is just a coincidence that most of you showed up the day of the bot nuke and start trolling RSBuddy people and proclaiming that RiD is the only bot that will work in the coming months. I guess people don't put together 2 and 2 anymore. I am not going to derail this thread though.

If you ever paid attention to any of my posts you would notice I always excluded you because you have been around here for a while, but all of the other RiD guys all of a sudden come out of the woodworks 2 days ago - before you guys were getting DDoSed.

So, you've been *aware* of this community for a while, but not active enough to actually remember your username, or password, or means of retrieving said information.

 

Who hasn't been aware of sythe? :s I've been a member of RiD since the start... I've always been aware of our community and others.

 

I posted the quote from Speljohan, and considering Speljohan is very well known for being in the RS cheating community for a loooong time, I believe he verified RiD's code back in 2007 when he first opened his thread on Sythe. He has gone through rs clients before, and has a large knowledge of private servers based on his knowledge of the client. This just means that what he says is credible. I also have some very convincing information regarding another part of the update. I'm so confident with this extra information that I'd be willing to make an official 300mil bet that RSBuddy will be down for at least a 3 weeks, and anything they do in the future to overcome this update will be completely different than anything they have right now, and neither injection nor reflection will be functional; anything using ID's will not be functional. There is also a thread in this section saying, 'Simba is still working after the bot nuke,' and according to you, had RiD made a similar thread, you would have raged and complained about advertising. So shh.

 

you're missing the entire point of the accusation. You have in the truest sense simply popped up out of hiding to spread the RiD propaganda- that of which im not necessarily against, but, don't act as if you've been a contributing member for some time now, you're here to elaborate on RiD, which you seem to support religiously.

These RiD threads always end up in flames, and im perpetuating the argument. Pretty soon you'll have to refrain from posting, at least temporarily until this 'bot war' is over and done with.

 

is the US server still down?

 

Server is going on and off. We have DNS-filtering enabled, but we seem to be getting DDOS'd by more than one source from what I can tell.

Also, I haven't just "popped up". I just rather lurk

 

I tried several times and was able to get on, but the bot didn't do anything. I closed it and opened it again and it says it can't connect to the server again.

 

RiD seems to be down again.

 

As the other moderators, and some other members have said, were trying our best to solve it and we have implemented some methods in an attempt to circumvent future attacks on the site.

I shall be keeping people updated via twitter @RiDmods as often as I can.
There is an IRC set up for temporary use, if you need help setting it up, tweet me.

The site & bots are currently working for some users, the DNS filtering is starting to take place and could take a while to be fully operational, sit tight guys.

 

Still they're computer nerds just like us. I don't think it would be that unlikely .

 

About us "appearing out of the woodwork" <.< Most of us used sythe to find RID in the first place. and are only even back on it because of RID being down.

P.s The amount of RSbuddy kids.. trying to troll on RID lately, has been Astounding. as far as im concerned if we retalliate they deserve it. .

Kid check my posts, i've not once posted about RiD "propoganda" I'm simply here by request of users, mods and staff to help out other users who can't get onto the site.
The only reason they end up in flames is because of kids like you spamming and flamming threads that have nothing to do with them? Don't like the thread or have anything to do with it? Keep off it.
