You're right, they've had more announcements. No they're done with botters they've more time. I think when this action will have effects the release will be soon there.

They can only sue people from e VS since companies registered in China can't get sued with the American law. You remember rsbots.com closing? it was registered in the Netherlands, Europe. They'll be able to close them down, however China is supporting goldfarm companies because they're making 1.9Billion dollar a year selling virtual items. Therefore the government of China will protect these companies in law.

 

I cant see them making that much off their lawsuits. I doubt many of their lawsuits will even be successful, as the majority of people who play RS are spread all over the world. I'm sure they will win some money off some big goldfarming/bot making companies to put in their pockets, but nowhere NEAR the amount they will lose from discontinued memberships for p2p accounts.

I agree with everything else you said though. I'm sure Jagex is fighting this war on many fronts, including one for their reputation and the future of their gaming company.

 

True, they won't get an equal profit from law suits then from lost members of the game. The sentence was not meant literally.

Mostly they bring the spirit of the game back as it used to be when I started playing. I think there will be more legit players becoming member also

Suing people in the us would probably make them lose money, and I'm still curious to see how they found out who botted.

 

If they know they can win it doesn't matter, but sueing ppl outside of the USA probably won't happen, and I doubt it would happen anywhere, regardless.

But if they win a lawsuit the defendant has to pay for jagex their expenses of the law suit like lawyer costs and the costs to get into into court etc.
