Starting to ban.

I just went up 2000 overall ranks overnight, guess they started banning people.

Anyone lose accounts?

 

Other people like me have had this happen as well, but not by that many ranks.

 

Both my accounts are fine, but my rank has increased a decent amount since the update.

 

I went from ~74800 to ~73900, without leveling any stats. Got some exp but that wouldn't get me up ~1000 rank. So yeah, I guess they started banning some accounts.

Having a stat with such low xp (level 46), people will pass you all the time. It wasn't because people were getting banned.

 

Probably just banning all the goldfarming/throwaway accounts that are pretty much useless and don't contribute to the game positively in any way.. I've seen a few other people who were sent "warnings" against their main characters, rather than bans, offering a second chance. I suspect Jagex is probably just mass banning all the useless level 3 accounts, goldfarming accounts, fully 100% botted characters etc, rather than targetting mains and/or regular accounts that have botted a bit here and there.

 

Evidently not as I see my blackmarks center with a big red pillar on a few mains.

 

I haven't gone up in rank after the update (other than minor jumps because of me getting XP) on either of my mains. I guess there aren't a lot of banned accounts with 2200+ or 2450+ total lol.
