Grand Theft Auto 5?

What do you think about this? I'm hoping Rockstar moves back to a San Andres type engine rather than at GTA4 style. If you've played both, you know what I'm talking about. But anyway, what do you guys think? Winning?

 

Wrong section, I don't actually own the GTA series at all. However I know GTA5 will be a massive hit, I only hope it won't be as buggy on PC as GTA4 was, bloody console ports.

 

Loved the san andreas one. Think it was 100x better than gta4. Cant wait to try it out

 

At first I thought this was fake, but then I looked around, and turns out it is real. I have very high expectations for the game, and have no doubt it will be amazing. I also think this random timed announcement is a clever marketing ploy considering Saints Row 3 comes out in a matter of days.

 

The game will be amazing, but will never match San Andreas, it easily wins the Series.

 

I love the whole GTA series, but I think the 4th one is the best yet. I'm sure GTA5 will be awesome as well.

 

Personally, I play SAMP, which is San Andreas Multiplayer, Its really fun, actually an admin on one of the biggest SAMP servers. ^^

 

4th Installment was my favorite hands down.

I'd like to see them implement the same facial-capture technology they used for LA Noire, and to perhaps introduce a few characters that can be easily sympathized with. Dwayne was the only character in GTA IV that i really cared about.

 

GTA 4 was motherfucking terrible imo. 3, VC and SA were AMAZING but 4 was such a let down... Saints Row 3 is what GTA IV SHOULD'VE BEEN.

Hopefully 5 isn't going to be super-realistic like 4...

 

Let the Saints Row series maintain the comical, tongue-in-cheek humor and style that you speak of, i personally like the direction GTA is going in. GTA IV had great social commentary, covered moral ground, and made you think about the implications of carrying out an order, etc. The series is definitely maturing, and Saints Row is picking up the whimsy that you admire.

As long as both reputable sandbox games keep up pacing away from eachother we're all happy. I wouldn't want both to be similar if not replicating eachother shamelessly.

 

I'm so pumped for this game! Unfortunately we're probably still about a year off from release, but oh well. I'm hoping the trailer reveals the location of the new game.

I like the GTA IV engine tbh. The game feels a little more realistic and also doesn't look nearly as cartoony either. I prefer my games to look somewhat realistic, but that's just me. The driving was a huge adjustment going from the old engine to IV engine but after playing IV and going back to Vice City, I can honestly say I prefer the handling of IV better. It adds a new layer of difficulty to the game. Also, working out and eating etc from SA was fucking gay. No thanks to any of that. Other than the exclusion of a couple of vehicles and lackluster storyline, IV was perfect. The Ballad of Gay Tony made up for the subpar story as well. IMO, just improve the graphics, put things like jets in, and vary the environments more and it's going to be a great game. Then all they've got to do is come up with a storyline.

I personally hope they do go back to GTA San-Andreas type engline too, But we;ll see
