Possible truth behind "bot nuking day"

ok so heres my theroy,


First off they may put one of the "robot" codes when runescape is loading, and that they may completely finish reflection bots?


Second theroy:

This is to scare us to not bot, likely that 10% of botters will never bot again even if they are told that it is ok to bot, because in the back of there mind they will have a slight feeling that they may get banned.

Third theroy:


This is to catch all the botter, they told us expected most people will bot 24/7 untill the nuking day, if they really had a working method they wouldnt tell us they were going to do this, so they must have a motive of telling us. So when 50% of botters bot hour on hour off or 12 hours and then off, go straight to 24/7 as soon as they let us know, theyre gonna know they aren't legiters.


Fourth theroy:


Jagex is going to COMPLETELY redesign the game webpage, way you log on, the way you play the game the way it looks, EVERYTHING. Now they issue with that is, that would take hours if not days to impliment not when that counter goes off.


Fifth theroy:


ABSOLUTELY NOTHING will happen and it is just a big scare.






Jagex can't get rid of bots and they know it, they are what make the game what it is, they will loose 50,000 + members if this actually works... That is $250,000 a month... Now if i was a company like that i would say to hell with banning bots... I want MONEY!

My theory: They're actually going to take down reflection for a few days but no bans will occur. The bots will be back up in a few days

None of these theories make logical sense, just wait until tomorrow and find out...Well, in 1 hour, 10 minutes.

 

One of these theorys is OBVIOUSLY true lol, could be a bluff, might not, though 2nd and 5th theory are the same thing lol.

I think it will be this, I don't think they are bluffing about how they are going to do it but they don't know the extent they are going to effect (or not effect) bots.

 

They just taking bots down for like a week, just for runefest lmfao...

It's either a bluff or they will get a minority of the bots. Sorry Jagex, you're not going to get 98% of the botters with one update.

When macroing started to become big in around 2008, they threatened many times about updates. Just saying, I dont think it will be that big of a deal.

 

Well now we have a giant countdown on the RS homepage to make the anxiety, excitement, and anticipation THAT much more intense Woohoo!

 

My theory: they really are going to end reflection bots, but right now they're scaring bots into staying logged in for long periods of time to get the most out of their botting experiences so that they're easier to spot and ban.

Person who is logged in for two days strait: banned. It's pretty simple logic, but extremely effective at catching bots.

 

That would make no sense, 2 days isn't really a lot tbh... If they would start banning everyone based on their play time...

 

Let's see what the devs have to say when bot nuke day comes to us in 11 hours, that's the best expert opinion anyone will receive.

 

Whatever does happen at the end of the week the bots will be fixed

 

I think they will just somehow take the reflection down and it will be down for maybe a week until the bot developers sort it out then it will be all go again I don't think any bans will happen . Except a fuck load of auto typers in f2p

 

$250,000 a month is not going to hurt them, that is a fraction compared what they get to give advertisements. And 50,000 mem bots, I don't think so.

Jagex more than anything is trying to reestablish the integrity of the game to attract more advertisers, and better pitch the game to consoles. I can see exterminating bots as a terms of agreement condition to eventually get rs on consoles. Jagex is finally thinking big picture and long term growth.

 

Your fifth theory would be the only one that would happen imo. Or they do manage to take down bots for a bit but then the developers will overcome that
