Do you reckon it will happen, that exact time they will shut bots down?

They will have to shut the servers down as they update, so it will either be a maintenance update for the full game or they will do it as a routine update world my world.

Probably best to keep off any bot clients tomorrow until the bot developers have had a chance to have a look at what has changed.

 

THE BEST ADVICE.

Botting now, like everyone is, just reveals who the bots are. Don't bot your characters into a ban, let the update happen and wait for the dominoes to fall. I'm betting 98% of this "bot ban" warning is a trap and everyone is being lured right into it.

 

If there's some major blacklist of names that will be banned on Tuesday, they already had it before they announced any of this. Doing nothing at this point would be too late. This is shades of 2005/2006 (when they actually did mass bans).

 

What easier way to flush out all the bots than saying "we're killing off the bots" and running a major propoganda scare-tactics campaign? All Jagex has done so far is made huge, flashy threats and forced botters to kick their bots into overdrive.

Who is botting, the player who logs in for six hours a day, or the player who has been logged in for 48 hours strait? It's pretty easy to figure out.

The fear will destroy you, but only if you let it.

 

Fagex (unfortunately) will accomplish their goal, but not for an extended period of time like they wish.

They will shut down bots at the time they say.

 

Jagex will shut down the bots for a few hours max, then the bots will be back.

 

My guess is actually, that they will add everybody who does not play to a watchlist, and destroy them if they show any signs of bot behavior...

 

Why are they still banning individuals today when they could just add it to their "kill count" tmrw to make the nuke look more successful?

 

So they can let us transfer our gold off our botted accounts... They can be helpful sometimes
