I never said I was I upset at Jagex, did I? In fact, if this does fix the bot problem, I might actually start playing again.

 

what if bots dont get banned and this is all a bluff?

EDIT:If bots get banned im going to quit but only come on when my clan has wars.

This is my train of thought, but it seems as if any news updates on stellar dawn are few and far between.

 

Could you be more specific on what it is that you're talking about? Not trying to be an asshole, just unclear on what you think won't happen.

Nobody said you were upset at Jagex? I think it was just showing that you can't call botters a problem when you have a GP shop yourself.. Cheaters are cheaters, how you cheat doesn't matter.

If this is a bluff, its one hell of a bluff. They went all in on a pair of two's. The timer, the amount of bots banned being released, I mean they even said how they're going to stop bots (reflection bots won't be able to work, apparently). I think they have confidence that they've found a solution, I'm just not sure they understand that this isn't going to stop the bots from evolving as the game evolves.

 

Just like it was stated above, botting isnt whats killing RuneScape. IT IS having an effect, which can be viewed as positive, or negative, just like anything else.

Tha general community, in tha sence of marketing, was screwed ever since tha Grand Exchange. Point blank period.

Theres tons of people who hate botters, just as i once did. You will always hate on someone who is botting, untill you, yourself begin to bot. Its way easier that way. Point is, you play tha game for tha reason that you want to play. I myself dont ilke working months at a time to achieve a 99 in a skill, and dont feel any less achieved when i bot it to 99.

IMO, too many updates is what is killing Runescape. Jagex should just chill out and let tha game be what it is for a while. They already cut their own throats once removing tha trade and wilderness. Its just a matter of time before they do it again.

 

I agree with almost every single bit of this.

The grand exchange is what ruined Runescape, Removal of free trade and wilderness too. Before that, I can't remember bots being this big of an issue.

I'm not going to quit, but I'm not going to grind either. I botted all the pking skills I need, so that's what I'm going to be doing . If i lose my bank, and gold does not go up to much, I'll just pk whenever I feel like it and from time to time buy some mills to keep going

 

I could easily live without botting and goldfarming, although I was just starting to bot myself and was kinda liking it. I could honestly go either way...

The only way I would quit without a doubt, is if my current main character got banned. Hes 100% legit, with maybe 15-20 hours total botted with Idungeon Pro a few weeks ago, but other than that hes got months and months and months of 12+ hour days of legitimate grinding and no-lifing put into him. If he gets banned, I am quitting RS again without a doubt. I just came back this past June after 5 years away from RS and started working on him and hes almost finished and ready for PKing. If he goes, I go. I wouldn't be too upset if I had to move on from RS.

But with that said - I would much rather continue playing and enjoying the game. If thats bot free, so be it

 

I completely agree with this intelligent post! I'll play legit from then on because I can PK and stake with the accounts I have, so I'm happy.

 

I could see more people rejoining vs the quitting cuz of bots.

 

If they do succeed in getting rid of bots, I would want to come back to rs, not quit lol.

I haven't botted in a month+ and I think rs will be a lot more enjoyable without bots.

 

I'm actually more motivated to play now since botters were a complete cluster-fuck to the community and there were too many stupid botters too. Jagex won't put an end to botting but, they will make it extremely difficult for people to get away and those who can get away are the smart botters who deserve to bot. Anyhow, I'm anxious for this update.

Yeah, PLAYING games legitimately is stupid anyways. It's definitely not about the experiences you have on the game, it's only about your numerical accomplishments through meaningless statistics.

I can't see myself playing legit again. It will mean I have to play legit, therefore not going out as much etc, which is just stupid. I hope they lose so many people due to this

 

In your opinion there are over 6 billion other opinions that may or may not play the game and that may beg to differ.
