Yes, but I would like to see white listing before anything. Would make things much more safer and we'd know that the person is from Sythe and is trustworthy (hopefully).

 

Server is completely griefed, we need plugins.

^ To all of you above, I will have most of the day tomorrow to work on this server. So, as I've promised a few times now.. just give me till then to get things setup. Don't build anything you don't want to risk to griefers, for now.

When I get the server 100% setup I'll make a thread, Ive worked 5 days in a row this week and haven't had the spare time to fully setup things up.

Before anyone asks, the 2nd greif was nothing to do with my brother. His only account has been banned and I personally made sure this happened.

Sythe users, do NOT build anything major in the server as we may consider a reset or a 3rd greif may occur.

2nd Greif Report:

- Diving tower's still intact, pool as been drained.
- x339's village is almost demolished.
- 1st mine completely filled in and covered over, 2nd is intact.
- Spawn house intact, bridge intact.
- Only a quarter of Piramid's house remains.
- My half finished Swatsika symbol is also intact.
- Lured's glass house is out of the way from the main town, so that's untouched.

To Awesome Stranger and ops, can you either PM me or post a list of the users who logged onto the Sythe server in-between now and 5 hours ago from this post. I have the odd feeling it might have been Deathsnova as a goodbye present but I can't be sure, although I did give him the IP earlier before he was banned.

Whether we start again, or rebuild the ruins, WE NEED Anti Greif plugins ASAP.

 

The situation is under control, we know the damage, and Awesome Stranger is going to add anti-griefing soon.

 

ok awesome, just posting for those who haven't got on yet. Hopefully we'll have anti greifing tomorrow and Awesome can launch the official server thread.

 

We should start a new map when we get the anti grief plugins etc.

 

Permissions is the best anti-grief in my opinion.
Does this server run bukkit?

I'm debating whether we should start again or rebuild. I think we should start over, it makes sense: New server, new map.

Yes, white-listing and permissions are our best bet. Sent you the IP as well, keep it to yourself until the server is properly launched.

 

I'd loose a bunch of stuff if we did a new map :c

 

the map has been reset due to lots of griefing, there are now plugins for protection.

 

Excellent, I think now is the perfect time for Awesome to make the offical thread for the server. PM me the plugins that are on the server.
