Price of GP going up?

How high will gp rise? Discuss.

 

I doubt it would rise for atleast a week or two once all of the ban-count of the goldfarmers is determined. After that I would only guess $.70 is the max from just speculation and panic, but if Jagex is a legitimate threat then it could go as high as $1.5 so long as gold farming is out for an extended period of time (>1 month)

But I doubt anything at all will happen since RsBuddy has made claims that it is not in any danger, and since the botting sites are just as clever as Jagex thinks they are themselves then every bot should be back up within the week if not the day.

 

its not gonna rise, they stayed around 0.4-0.5 for the longest time, its gonna stay.

 

It could even go down short term because sellers will want to get cash for their stock incase of a ban.

 

it won't rise, theres still gold coming into the game and the game is still slowly dying...

plus rsbuddy will still be up and people will keep making bots, as long as free trade stays, gold will remain the same...

 

How can you say the game is slowly dieing when thousands more are joining runescape ? lol


Gp will rise because of the lack of botters botting pure cash.

 

Bots don't even make up 1/16'th of the GP being supplied to the black market.
L2economics, there's already more supply than demand, there will continue to be more supply than demand regardless of how many bots they DO, or DON'T kill off. It'll probably go up Via panic to $1 TOPS, then fall to the average .55 again a couple of weeks later.

most big time gold sellers don't even make their money botting, most people will stake and do other shit for gold.

 

i'd say all the dicers and stakers will keep the gold value right where it is. This isnt the first time jagex has said there "coming out with a new technology to do mass bans) and it wont be the last time. Bottings not going anywhere and i do believe runescapes economy will do such a nose dive there just gonna close free trade again.

I would love a small increase, even if temporary. I don't see it's value doubling or anything like that, but depending on how many bots are taken out of the game, and if the solution does prove to permanent, then $0.45 - $0.6 could be a real possibility as the opposed to the current $0.35 - $0.5 right now.

I have to say, it's up a solid $0.04-0.05 (10%) for me this weekend. Though that may be just because I am becoming more trusted... Last weekend I was having trouble finding anything over $0.4... This weekend the orders have been flying in at $0.44+. I even had a couple at $0.5. Anyone else notice an increase or is it just me?

 

Price will definantly go up. For pesonal business , they don't care about the price. They only want to sell their gold. So they will be competitive on price.

 

gold will not go up, too much competition, they can't be competitive overprice, this is a dying game and demand of gold will not increase enough to merit an increase, plus gold still comes into the game, if anything price will remain the same and decrease slowly over time as it has.

 

Obviously if bots are broken by the update, it's inevitable that gp will rise in price. If the bots don't break. The market will probs go down a little or remain the same
