CAREFULLY examining the words Jagex has used.

Once I read this, along with many other kids, we/I panicked. You know what panicking does to people in movies? FUCKS US OVER.

So we are going to CAREFULLY read so we can understand what Jagex is ACTUALLY saying.

What They Said: "Targeting what we believe to be 98% of the bots seen in game"

Why they said that-
(Players POV) - YEA!!! NO MORE BOTTING!!
(Botters POV) - O Shit! All my accounts are going to be banned

What is ACTUALLY means-
Getting rid of reflection botting (which is mentioned later on in the post) . Which IS 98% of the bots out there.

What they said: "Continuing to develop...improvements....over the coming months in an attempt to remain a few steps ahead of both the bot makers and gold farmers"

What it ACTUALLY means -

They acknowledge that there will still be bots for a while (months) even after this Tuesday update.

What they said: "Recently detected and banned over 1.5 million botting and gold farming accounts".

Why they said that-
(Players POV) - Sweet, mass ban on tuesday!
(Botters POV) - Better start botting 24/7, or stop botting until tuesday.


What it ACTUALLY means-

Jagex knows people don't read everything carefully. Once people start panicking, they cannot focus or think through things.
Recently could go as far back as a year, it is THEIR definition of recent, not OURS. They have ALREADY banned the accounts (which was basically all the f2p bots)

What they said: "25th October permanently preventing "reflection" bots from working again."

What it ACTUALLY means:

This backs up their first point that "98% of botters are targeted".
They acknowledge that this update will stop REFLECTION bots. They do not say it will stop ALL bots. They are basically saying, "Rsbuddy/Nexus, find another way to script without using reflection." This is backed up by the fact that jagex says they will continue to improve in the coming months.

What they said- "Bot-nuking day"
What it ACTUALLY means -
Did they say a mass ban? NOPE. If Jagex wanted to say BAN, they would have used that word.


tl;dr

Reflection botting will be no longer usable after tuesday (Nexus/RSBuddy)
They have ALREADY banned the accounts.
As you can read from the forums, all the little runescape kids are excited about this update, which only stops botting TEMPORARLY and has banned F2P bots.
