Sup guys. Just wondering if my set up is decent on a super tight budget. Biostar N68S3 4GB DDR3 (upgradeable to 8) AMD Athlon II (duel core) 512mb on board GPU Leo-46 ATX 80gb sata HDD (low but as I said, budget)
You really should consider getting more hard drive space. It's very cheap, and if you're going to use a recent version of windows it'll take over 10% of your available space by itself. Also, integrated or on-board graphics cards suck major ass. As kill dank said, don't expect to play any serious games on it. First you'll be bottlenecking your graphics card, if you upgrade that then your processor. Unless you absolutely need the computer instantly, I would recommend saving a little more money for a better budget, because if you want to play any modern games you will need a dedicated graphics card, and you'll want a larger HDD and possibly upgrade your processor. also the cases look ridiculous
I need the PC for university mainly. I will be upgrading when I get more money, probably going to SLI
If you only need it for school projects, internet, movies, small games like Runescape, and music, it will work fine. I suggest a bigger HD though. I don't know what you're paying for the one you picked, but you can get a much better deal and 80GB fills up fast. My iPod has 80GB.
How can you SLi when you've got an onboard GPU? My advice now, save some extra money, get a good MOBO, PSU, case and a 1tb HDD, then get a cheapy CPU(athlon II x2) and just use onboard video until you have the cash to upgrade the CPU & GPU. Getting a cheap case, psu, hdd and mobo will cause you to spend more in the long run.
Don't mean to hate but the sexiest part about your build is the case xD. If your going to university next year, just wait I'm begging you and get a higher budget
