"In a lucid dream, the dreamer can actively participate in and manipulate imaginary experiences in the dream environment."

I've been trying this for about 2 weeks now. I am still in the "recall" stage. I am really looking forward to actually being able to lucid dream. What do you guys think of it?

I've heard many great things about it, and know that people can teach them selves the ability to control a dream at will. I myself have tried practicing, but gave up as I realized how long it would take. I have however felt conscious in a dream once, and once I was conscious that I was dreaming I could literally do anything I wanted; best dream of my life. ;)

Reopened and moved to Gen. Discussion.

Anyway, I first heard about Lucid dreaming through Sythe a couple years back. HeavenLord had a really good guide on it. I went on to try it with no success. It would be pretty wicked though D:

I'm not sure about this but I think I've had some form of lucid dreaming in the past. Is it just yourself knowing that you're in a dream?

It is something that I find very interesting. On average I tend to find anything with dreams pretty interesting.

I have never experienced this, but I have experienced sleep paralysis. The first time it happens to you, not sure you will ever be more scared in your life.

I’ve had this experience I’m pretty sure. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had participated in my dream. I smelled, seen, felt, tasted, and heard everything in my dream. My idea of dreaming is a deep sleep is needed to go into what is called *«*Lingo*». I’ll explain more of what my dream was later.

Not sure if it's the same, but I regularly have dreams where I realize I am dreaming and can do whatever I want. I can never realize it before I start dreaming though, so it's more like I am given a premise as to what I can do and where I am in my dream. It's pretty awesome. Happens in like 2/3 of my dreams that I actually remember.

It would be really cool once mastered but takes a long time to master it.

I've had some lucid dreams before using WBTB method (Google it). My problem is that I'm usually too lazy/comfortable in the morning to try, and I just end up falling asleep.

It's amazing how the brain can fully reconstruct reality, for you to experience. It's also really weird when you talk to dream characters because technically you're talking to yourself, but you/it seems like a completely separate entity.

The human mind is so interesting. :p

your self-conscious is fully open when your dreaming, your dreams could be something you are trying to tell yourself. I have learned to realize i am in a dream by looking at my watch every time, if its a different color, different brand, weird times, and just not there i realize it is a dream and I am not able to reconstruct an entire world, but i can change dreams to a different topics of reality.
