So I bought an account that was accidentally set to be under 13....

Apparently people who are 13 years old and younger can't access free chat. Is there any way I can remove this filter? I already faxed them the form claiming to be my own parent but nothing happened. Anyone can help me?

P.S. I'M not under 13..

 

Wait you created or you bought an account that is registered to an under 13? I don't think there is any way around this, unless you directly contact Jagex support and tell them your problem. This may be risky if you bought the account because you may supply false details ~ they aren't going to change the birthday that easy!

I agree with ManyGash, sending an appeal might be risky if you have false information. I'd suggest just waiting it out, who knows maybe its not that far away.

 

I couldn't play with a muted file though. Send them your ID maybe?

I believe they would just say they can't because of their policy.

Maybe say that you checked off the wrong year of his birthday though?

Ask the person you bought it from what birthday they put in, then message them and say they uhh. that you put in the wrong year

 

Never heard of this happening.. you baught an account off a 10-12 year old? Ask the guy if he has the creation date, they email jagex saying you made a mistake when you made the account blah blah..
