Do you think now would be a good time to buy a DFS?

With the new FD update, do you think the prices of the DFS will go up?

I think they will, and I bought 5 shields just in case. I struggled to buy them at 9m each yesterday o.o FDK is a a major way of farming gp, so a lot of people will need them with the new update (can't use magic prayer+pot any more)

 

I dunno, I'm glad I bought a few 3 days ago though anyways. If they do rise, maybe I can make myself some geepeez

 

Not only will the supply go down, but legit FDers will be forced to use them from now on. I predic a 30-50% rise in the short term, falling to 20% in the long term

Damn. Frosts are going for 15k ea again on the forums. I knew i should've invested in them a few days earlier when they were still 10k ea, but i hired someone to work on my account and he wont be done until tomorrow. Fuuuuu

 

What is 'FD update?'

All I knew is I tried to buy a DFS yesterday and had to pay 2-3m over I think.

 

Supposedly Jagex are taking new, drastic measures in order to combat all of the bots at Frost Dragons lately. They're really cracking down, which means subsequently higher prices for frost bones and anything pertaining to frost dragon killing, like the DFS>

 

Frost Dragons update to prevent botting them, basically added a ranged attack, made it so pot + prayer isn't usable any more so you HAVE to use DFS to fight them. Although, the RSbuddy script developers have already altered their script for FD's and it's now bottable again.

 

Which is hilarious, that after a few days the developers have already foiled Jagex's big scheme to bring FD botting to extinction. Why do they even bother.

 

There will be a panic jump in some things, but they will go back down. The bot coders are always going to out smart the game. No matter what they do.

I think the ROW update did more to kill the price of dshields than bots did. Anyway, if the price of frost bones goes up, one has to assume that either bots will make the needed adjustments or the number of legit players at frosts will increase.

Thus, I'd bet on a short-term spike due to inaccurate speculations, followed by a severe dive.

 

I think the kids who are buying up all of the bones and shield now are going to rage quit when they lose mills because they have no clue about economics or market statuses.

Well not to brag, but I just sold all 5 of mine for 9.6m each and made 3.5m in a day from not very much work at all! Looks like they're still rising too, but i'm happy with the result.
