    Securing a runescape account question

Hello sythe members. Today I'm here with a question that I could not find the answer to myself. Recently I have contacted a account seller on there forums. He has an runescape account with all 99s so I offered him $900 for the account. At first I took precautions seeing that he was a newcomer so I requested a recovery test and he gave me old passes changed email to mines and also let me set recovery questions. I have made the account member have the old passes and know the isp , and 2 member pins things . I know the original date it was created and everything. But yet he can still recover. I also tried wiping the original account information but this did not work as of my knowledge. Seeing that he is a new comer I am stuck in a hard place because I don't want to pay knowing he can still recover and he end up taking the account back. I don't know what to do . Do I risk my money and send him the $900 or, do I just not buy the account at all to be safe? I really don't want to be at a lost but should I trust him? Please help me decide.

    Securing a runescape account question

In all honesty, buying Runescape accounts from anyone except a TRUSTED seller here on Sythe, is very risky. Accounts are never completely secure, and can almost always be recovered by the original owner with ease. If you want to be totally safe, don't ship $900 off to this kid because theres a good chance he will recover the account once you put all your valuables on it. If you want to buy an account, I would use a trusted seller here on Sythe. If you do decide to buy the acc, good luck. Hopefully the guy is honest and doesn't recover (although there is a very good chance he will).

Never buy RS accounts from someone that's not extremely trusted, they are very easy to recover, especially if hes the original owner.

No, don't take the risk. You'll be left with no money, and no account.

If your unsure about a trade, don't do it.
But I'd ask an OMM who deal with rs account trades, they will know how to secure an account the best. They should do anyway...

I would never buy an account from someone I don't know IRL, just because of the risk factor of them recovering. $900 is a lot of money, especially for a virtual pixel. I would not take the risk, and just make your own account and purchase leveling/skilling on it from a trusted skiller - so you know you're the original owner and have all details to it.

Tried to give him everything that should show my trustworthy. He is dealing with a intelligent young man, who have server time in a navy. Who been a leader in big clan, and dose still own administrator rank in their forums. And been lower rank in another clan, where I still own access to forums. I've been nothing but help for him, been as real as possible, and now he kind of wants to back from the deal. (When he holds my account details already, made account member and so on).

    Dilemma as you can see.o_O

If you have the account for long enough, he won't be able to recover.

If he is not super trusted - do not buy from him.
Moreover, if you have your email registered for a long time, you can recover it back instantly.

Dont buy the runescape account if he isnt truested. And alwas ask for working recovery details and use an OMM to test.

If you're able to recover the account with the details he gave you, so is he. I would assume that most people who do account trades don't give ALL the information. Maybe they keep out one or two small details but those details will be more than you can enter therefore not enough to recover the account back once he's shown he knows more.

I highly recommend against purchasing this account.

$900 is a very large amount of money, and the account can be easily recovered in several minutes time.

Your best bet is purchasing an account off a more trusted, well-known user who's reputation speaks for itself.

You can do things such as change emails/recoveries/apply membership and log transaction details, but the bottom line is, ALL accounts are recoverable by the original owner, no matter how far down the line.
