I cry often watching movies, more so during sequences of technical wonder and beauty, rather than conventional ploys to evoke tears- usually during the climax of a film. Here's a list of recent films that brought tears to my eyes, suck it up and admit to yours!

    Atonement
    Synecdoche, New York
    Lost In Translation
    Princess Mononoke
    American History X
    My Own Private Idaho
    The Fountain
    Schindler's List
    Pulp Fiction
    Last Of The Mohicans
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

Oh hell yeah. Completely understandable. Saw it in 3D not too long ago and the scene where Scar betrays Muffassa is still as intense as i had remembered it being.

Another one that comes to mind is Toy Story 3. Even as a grown adult it really got to me. Andy leaving for college and finding peace with leaving his toys behind. Im sure everyone can relate to that period in your life where you have to give up your childhood so you can healthily transition into adulthood.

I've never really cried from watching a movie, but a few have made me shed a tear. Ones that come to mind are With Honors, Pay it Forward, Biutiful, and The Green Mile.

I've been meaning to see Biutiful for quite some time now. I'm a big fan of the director Inarittu's death trilogy. (Amores Perros, 21 Grams, Babel)

It's a really good movie, but very depressing. I love all those, especially Amores Perros. Sin Nombre is also an excellent movie and one I found really sad. I've been meaning to watch Cronos actually. It's on my Netflix Instant Queue.

Cronos really isn't that great of a film, to be honest. I just love the criterion collection cover and logo, and the concept behind the film.

Watch Magnolia if you enjoyed Amores Perros, unravels in the same way with the intertwining stories and broken down characters.

It sounds interesting, so I'll probably watch it. I've seen Magnolia. Great film. Crash and 11:14 are similar also and both really good.

    Dear John
Some others I can't think of

However there is one movie that made me cry, and that is...

    Click

Like I literally started crying like ive never cried when I watched that movie. Not sure why, but it always gets to me. Now when I watch it im fine but the first time I saw it, OH.MY.GOD.

Prison Break - (The last movie). You have to see the previous four seasons though to understand.

    A masterpiece.

No, i don't cry tears of joy when i see people getting murdered. I don't know what gave you that impression.

Well then you either haven't seen all three films, or you are very dense and apathetic.

    Without spoiling anything;

American History X: The thematic material itself is gritty, and tragic the whole way through. Towards the second half, the main character pursues a sort of redemption, but in the end its all too late.

Last Of The Mohicans: Probably one of the most powerful climax's in cinematic history. The on-screen desperation to protect a loved one, and the score driving it all along, hopelessly.

Pulp Fiction: Tarantino is a true master of screenwriting, and the end sequence in the diner is some of the most captivating writing in all of film history.

How dare you question the authenticity behind my emotions for these three movies. You have quite obviously never watched them, or at least never fully understood and soaked in the genius behind them.
