You should also make sure that your case has proper airflow so you shouldn't buy the cheapest case either, they tend to last for years so putting a little more money for that isn't bad.

More cores does mean more performance, it's just the question of can the program take advantage of that performance.

And when buying a mobo, check that it supports the CPU, some CPUs may have TDP of 125w and your mobo can only take 95w.

If the bit about more cores = more performance were true, AMD's Phenom II X6 CPUs would be better than all of Intels 4 cores, which they aren't even close to :/ most i3s are better than AMDs X4 CPUs.. AMD leads consumers who don't know any better into buying more cores when they really don't need them, just because it 'sells'.

Having good airflow is great but for the novice builder it probably won't be a huge concern. Nevertheless, I'll add it to the guide.

Forgot about motherboard TDP, I'll add it. Thanks!

Not bad at all. I didn't read it word for word, but I skimmed over it and read the points that stuck out as the most important. As a PC builder myself, I can say that you've done well.

Really disappointed in myself, I still haven't gotten around to doing the rebuild. This weekend was really hectic with helping my girlfriend move and stuff, and now I've got an assload of homework -.-

So until further notice the rebuild is delayed. I don't wanna give dates and not get around to doing it, or wind up half assing it. It won't be long, just gotta pull through all the business lol.

16GB minimum if you're trying to run 30 bots. Each bot takes up to 500MB - 1GB RAM though so that might not cut it, but you'd be close depending on other hardware.

Alright, wanna do me a huge favour. Make me a insane botting PC. Intel is preferred, or w/e, just NOT AMD. Budget - $1000.

Show me what to buy, and I'll get them slightly cheaper from local PC store where I get discount :p

Honestly this guide is very well written. But I would find some way to screw it up then I'd get mad and slam the computer down on the ground, pee on it, and throw it into the woods

Is it cheaper to make your own? And how much would you expect to pay for a decent botting computer?

Much cheaper overall. You can make an okay one for like $400, and $600 will get you an absolutely great one.
