sythe dosent ban scammers

so baseically got scammed like twice they get away clean even tho they scammed more then 5 people

i get this bullshit like MSN chat logs arent proof? wtf how are they not proof do you want recording?

and 2. you cant sell pins..? bullshit i see people selling gamecards all the time fact is ive been scammed like 3-4 times now mods dont give a shit..

You put the wrong information, you should read the stickies before you trade. It is your fault, always screenshot/record a trade. You shouldn't come and rage because you don't know the rules or how to use the system.

i did that i filled it out and how is screenshots chat logs differenet ffs im not clicking screenshot 100 times for no difference and another thing if he dosent get banned oh well but im shocked that he scammed me he has 400 posts and 40 vouches with 1b trades and he scammed for 10m :/

 

Chat logs are easily edited, screenshots aren't. If you want to trade then you are going to have to take measures to make sure the trade goes smooth. You can't cut corners or jump into a trade quickly, you need to do some quick research and make sure there are no other scam reports out there on this person or anything like that. It is your burden of proof that you were scammed and if you don't have the right evidence then it is your fault. If it wasn't like this I could go around all day and say that everyone scammed me.

 

You were negligent and completely oblivious in walking into this trade unprepared, and i am unsympathetic.

You've dumped yourself in it by getting scammed, always use some sort of MM and you'll avoid this in future, there's no need to rage about it just take it as personal experience and learn from it.

 

MSN chat logs aren't proof because they can be easily edited, next time read all the rules, especially when first training so you know what to do when you can scammed.

 

Please don't come here crying because you practice unsafe trading standards. You should always record/screenshot everything during a trade, and you should use a MM/OMM if the other person you're trading with isn't extremely reputable.

I'm sorry for your loss, but this thread isn't the way to go about addressing it. We ban scammers when there's sufficient proof. Next time record the trade and/or take screenshots of the MSN conversation and save it.

 

I've personally banned over 3,000 users >.< So yes, scammers do get banned.

But, chat logs are easily edited, and all he'd have to do is call you a liar. Then we'd have to unban him, since it'd be unfair to take your word against his. Thus, the whole exercise would be pointless, and it's easier to simply mandate that chat logs are not allowed.

Also, Cskiffingt1 was just pointing out that you were filing a scam report about an upgrade service, instead of a pin scam. As stated in the membership services section, it's none of our business what method is being used for the upgrade.
