Old School (2006) Or New RS

Which do you prefer.

I say old school cause no over-powered weapons like god swords and all.

 

Old school, it was a more level playing field without making things over complicated with 50 types of pures.

Old school all day,
When playing legit for 5 + hour's at a time was fun,
Now, i have no interest in RS other then to make profit's off of botting :/
Rs has been tampered with by Fagex, and over ran by bots.

Old school, pking isn't nearly as fun. Doesn't take much skill anymore, it's all luck.

 

Prior 2005 RS. Probably also had a lot to do with the fact that i was fourteen at the time, and still at the prime of my rs career. I've been growing more and more out of the game. I probably spend more time reading and talking about Runescape on the forums, and hiring people to work on my account, then i do actually playing it.

 

Yeah hitting 600's is all luck.

 

new weapons are bad, ive quit twice, eatch time i come back thers like 5 new weapons that are more and more over powered. Keeping the game simple was good, complexity killed it.

 

See, if you think about it, everyone in 2006 played for fun. I remember the first Tutorial Island they had, it was amazing and both fun for the players. Gradually they enhanced there graphics, and it eventually evolved into a new 'Era', they just keep enhancing the graphics, as of now, I am proud to say I haven't played runescape since 08! Old-School all the way.

Back in 06, you could drop trade and practically do whatever you want. Now-a-days, the trade is limited, I don't know for a fact they haven't changed it back, I'm just talking about the last time I played. Now all of the mods are gay if you ask me, all they ever do is hide and when they are seen, they usually never talk to anyone. I miss the old days when everyone played for fun, and everyone loved to PK etc. It was very fun, Runescape had a hopeful future until they screwed everything up.

 

Free trade came back in Feb.

 

Well, even though that came back, Rs has still gone to shit, in my opinion anyway. Also, i'm so stupid, I knew that because I got on about one week ago to see how much everything has changed, I might as well start up again, even though no matter how much they enhance the server, it will never be as good as it was in 06.

Coinshare, I totally 100% Agree with you, also the D med helm looked sick back then. I thought I was bad ass when I made 180K to buy full Rune. Rune also looked sick back them. Now everything looks 'Shiny' do to the shitty 600+ graphics.

I like the new rs because I don't remember the old one I never pked and I don't even remember what I did back in 2006 lol

Also 2006 had less bots so much legit players now-a-days people just bot runescape for cash and sell it.
