Ban people from renting there accounts.

There is a method I know of that people are using to scam other members on here.

What they do is rent there accounts usually maxed boxers.

Then after a little while they post there account hacked in the emergency hack forum on runescape.

A j mod checks the ip straight away and if it's different then he locks it straight away until the recovery test is processed (which causes you to disconnect and log out in game.)

Now I learnt this the hard way and lost my bank . I'm just trying to help other members here not to fall for the same fate I did.

Banning a trade just because it's possible to be scammed from it isn't sufficient reason. And as long as there are at least a few legit account lenders, which I know there are, then there's no reason to ban it altogether.

I think you've jumped to a conclusion here.

 

I'll add a sticky to the section warning about it, but you can't say it's any more likely than paypal chargebacks.

A lot of trades have risks - but if people want to buy/sell something, it's up to them whether or not they want to take those risks.

 

I ran a legit service of this for a while but I agree with the OP that this is a concern. Maybe a warning sticky could be put in place since most people aren't aware that accounts can be insta locked like this. Sythe users need to realize the risks are similar to buying accounts and need to only rent from trusted users.

Yeah I suppose I jumped the gun a little bit. I did a bit of research and there are some legit account lenders.

A warning should be sufficient about accounts being able to be instant locked. Wish I was was warned earlier haha. 600m is a big loss.
