    Why won't my account sell?

Hello, I hope this is the correct place to post first and foremost!

Anyway, i'm just wondering why my stupid account won't sell? It's been valued at $100+ and i'm selling it for a little bit cheaper than that as it is.

I've provided pictures etc. and said I can verify in game, but I haven't received any interest in it at all! I've been an sythe member for over 3 years now, and admittedly I don't have a huge amount of vouches. but I don't see the problem if I provide all details, willing to use an OMM, willing to go first to people more trusted etc. It's really frustrating me because there are worse accounts, with higher offers than i'm asking for, from newcomers. I mean really?

Here is the link to my thread: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1247468

If you can provide any help with layout/advertising methods to help sell it quicker i'd be happy. I'm going on holiday in a month and I kind of need the cash.

    Why won't my account sell?

    You aren't trusted.
You want to use a OMM yet you wont pay fee's.
Lurking for 3 years doesn't make you trusted :/

    Why won't my account sell?

I never said I was trusted because of my 3 year existence here, I just think it's a better way of determining it than minor vouches for 'free levelling' or 'bought 5m for $3'. It just goes to show that in my 3 years here i've been a good member of the community. I haven't been lurking at all, i've done trades etc and i've been active in the forums. I just used to fob off runescape during busy times (like exams etc).
I said i'd go first to people with more trust than myself
Why should I pay fees for OMM when it's my account to sell? Loads of other people do the same. I never said an OMM was essential, but I don't want to risk PP chargebacks etc. and I'm selling the account cheap as it is.

Like I said, i've seen newcomers with worse accounts get more offers and I don't see why. I've never had a single complaint about me in my whole time here. Just because I don't spam posts 24/7 for post count etc. it doesn't make me 'not trusted'.

You didn't actually help me at all with anything you said, and it's the help section. You could have at least suggested something instead of just trying to make me look like a douche with a rather blunt and cuntish post.

    Thanks for your reply :)

My email address isn't actually registered on my picture :p

I tried the stickied method to remove recoveries, but it didn't work.

I just don't know what else to do to prove i'm not scamming anyone lol. I really do just want money for my holiday. I'm even selling my iPod and stuff on ebay! :p

    Why won't my account sell?

You're advertising an account, not a shop or a service.
It doesn't need to be so organized. This can overwhelm people and discourage them.

    So first off, simplify it.
It has too much detail, just fit the major pros of the account into one single paragraph.

    For example;

    selling cbl 129 account
annoying quests such as <insert quests here> finished :)
Also has decent levels and wealth, such as <insert item names here>!

    It's a username login.

Pictures say a thousand words, so
    <insert pictures here>

    A/W Price:
    My contacts:

If you can not remove the emails or recovs, leave that part out. It discourages buyers.

Furthermore, leave out anything else that may give the buyer the disadvantage (such as paying for the OMM fees.) tell him that while you are chatting with him. This discourages buyers, too.

Finally, you don't have to use a OMM. There are plenty of trusted non-omms around.

    Why won't my account sell?

Np man, it all comes with experience in the marketplace lol
I myself still have trouble getting my stuff sold, too

But whenever something doesn't work, I just edit the thread all over again
I often create a new one and ask the previous one to be removed, so that I can start fresh :)

keep experimenting and eventually, you will get the right formula.

Hope you sell your account soon!

    Why won't my account sell?

You have 182 posts and hardly any vouches and won't pay mm fee's...

I could register in 05 and have 200 posts, that doesn't mean shit. It takes like 2 days to get that many if you really try.

From what I've seen, if you act trusted and people don't see any reason to trust you, it turns them off.

    Why won't my account sell?

The big one is that you're only taking rsgp which cannot be chraged back if you do indeed scam.

You just sound like every other newcomer trying to scam

"RSGP ONLY, OMM ONLY YOU PAY FEES"

    Why won't my account sell?

Okay, can people kind of just lay off how many years i've been here? I'm aware of the fact you can spam posts which is why I was saying that they mean jack-shit. I don't even see the point in having a post count unless you're limited to like 20 posts a day. You literally could spam 100's of post a day, which I clearly haven't done.

I don't believe post count means that much in trust personally. I suppose people can interpret that as they like, but post count means nothing in my books. The fact I've had this account for a long time means I've kept to one single account for all of those years, and never scammed anyone. I only post when I feel necessary for trading or I'm bored.

I've already explained that sometimes I can go 2-5 months without posting at all because of school/college. So bringing up post count/time since registration is pointless.

Once again, why should I pay MM fees? Not many sellers actually offer to because at the end of the day, it's my fucking account. If they don't trust me enough to buy it without an MM, that's their problem and not mine.

I'm not acting trusted either. I was merely stating that I've never scammed anyone, I've been scammed 4 times (hence why I'm not really willing to go first unless it's n4no or something) and it's not my responsibility to pay for MM fees if they want the privilege of it. If you go through most of the account sales, most people say it's the buyers responsibility to pay the fees.

The only thing in your post that actually makes sense really, was the whole vouches thing. But how can people get vouches when no one trades with them? I'm not one to mess around with minor trades to earn vouches, nor do I spend my time earning petty vouches for 'free account training' or shit like that, mine were from legitimate trades that involved cash & trust.

to recap: I'm offering the use of a MM (obviously showing I'm willing to trade fairly and safely for both parties) and it's the buyers responsibility to pay for the convenience, or they can go first unless they're ACTUALLY trusted.
I've been a member for 3 years, and in those three years I've never had a single complaint (other than from a scammer (LegitAccountTrader) that I managed to get banned, saying I was 'spamming his thread' by calling him a scammer on his account shop)
Post count is spammable and shouldn't be used as a source of trustworthiness. If you've got a lot of PC it's either because you're really active in the forums, or you've spammed it. That's it. Full stop.

    Why won't my account sell?

Thank you, that's some good feedback right there! To be honest, that's why a MM is preferred, because i'm aware that RSGP isn't returnable. I mean, i'd be willing to pay for a MM if the price was raised, because I don't want any less than what i'm already getting as the account is nearly 8 years old and I put a lot of effort in.

The big thing for me is this though. Fair enough the buyer can't get the RSGP back, but at the end of the day, if I give out my account details, change the email and stuff, recoveries etc. They could just take my account and trade off the money to a different account and maybe keep my account or at least clean it. So i'd at least want a method as to where they won't be able to charge-back also. I'd be willing to take anything that isn't available to charge-back because it's the last thing I need with my upcoming holiday. It's a predicament obviously because both parties run the same risks. If I provide a method that can charge-back, they might do it leaving me with a worse off account and no money and vice-versa for the buyer.

I'm glad you gave that feedback in a friendly, constructive manner. Thank you :)

EDIT: Also, I didn't answer my own question. I asked on why it wasn't selling. I still don't think it's entirely down to me asking the buyer to pay any potential MM fees because I believe it's the buyers right to purchase protection if they want it. My question was how can I improve my chances of selling, and why won't it sell. OBVIOUSLY everyone now thinks it's because of the whole MM business. Whatever man, it's not my responsibility to offer the buyer extra protection at MY cost. Insurers don't pay insurees at the end of the day.

    Why won't my account sell?

Personally, if i was you, i would just sell this account to a site such as gold4fun (gold4rs) or another. Here on sythe account selling is 99% recoverable. When i look for an account, it is based on the person selling it, not the features of the account. When i buy an account i want to know that i trust this person with my money, and i feel he wont scam me, looking at your thread, Not saying you would scam, but i personally would not be 100% sure in buying this account. Maybe start smaller and try to gain a few vouches and some trustworthiness, or just dump the account to gold4fun or such :/

    Why won't my account sell?

Well thanks for your honest opinion. I'd only get about $40 on gold4fun or whatever it's called. I'd rather just give the account away because that's only like £25 or something. I mean would people buy it playerauctions do you think? I honestly have no intention of recovering. It's annoying not being able to prove that lol :p

    Why won't my account sell?

When it comes to account sales, it is buyer beware. Account sales are not safe and the majority (an extremely high percentage) of account sales are recovered eventually by the owner. The fact that you have low post count and very little vouches probably scares quite a few people off.
