BOTS BEING KILLED????



- We’ve made a number of technical changes to the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon resource area which will make frost dragon killing harder and less profitable for bots, without impacting upon the experience of legitimate players. This is just the first in a series of initiatives we’re taking to tackle bots for good.

Gonna find a way to bot it anyways, so no big deal.

 

I think Jagex will soon find something to crack down on all bots, up we go price of GP ...i hope

 

I hope of that too, they should limit the trade and shit again tbh.. Not really problem for me cause i dont play anymore for a while

 

I don't want them going too far Just want all bots banned! I don't bot or anything so i would earn more $$$ from pking!

 

Lol, i do services for people so that counts as botting right But going back to non free trade times would be WAY better rs than it is atm tbh..

 

I don't think it would be, but back to the botting issue I hope Jagex actually do something this time.

 

I Hope they won't put a trade limit again as NBD said...
I have 800m (basically all my money) spread on multiple accounts... 40-50m on each lol.

They say they'll make Frosties less profitable for bots but it won't affect legit players... uh... i'm kinda curious to know how they'll manage that.

Yeah same, Jagex won't remove FT again...would be a bad business move, DW.

 

Thier should be a way to combat this, as bots almost always find ways around stuff like this.

 

They said they are pursuing legal actions against bot makers.

 

They go through phases like this all the time. They'll get bored again soon and everyone will stop shitting themselves and get on with botting. However during this period, I'm not botting my main any more until it's a bit safer

 

Here is how it works:

Jagex Updates -> Bot Makers Update -> Jagex Updates -> Bot Makers Update

You won't outdo the botters when they have better coding resources than you do, you should never underestimate a person's ability to cheat a game.


And whoever said legal action about botmakers, I read an article about that exact topic. They can't because their failure to establish full copyright claims in the US and that is apparently where all the bots come from.

 

I honestly think Jagex will follow through with what they say this time.

 

They better do, Cause if they don't most legit players will start botting too or just quit.
I mean.. RS will die if they don't do anything.

 

Yeh, plus these botters are making me earn less $$$$ from pking because of how long 1m is these days.

 

mmm, I think they mean it more this time than previous times because the amount of botters is beyond ridiculous now. I hope they only target like... tree cutters or miners or something. At least then the consumables would go up in price, along with nats/bars etc.

I remember when they did a mass ban on people who used to use Aryan o.o Luckily I wasn't into botting back then so I didn't have anything to worry about, but just in case they do follow through, i'm not botting my main until things quiet down or something. It's a problem though, because after botting for like 3 years now, I can't seem to do anything legit anymore. I don't even know how to do dungeoneering without a bot xD

 

I'm interested to see what these kiddies can do.

 

The problem is that the economy is going to slow to a literal drag if they stop all of the bots because things are going to get so expensive again that you won't be able to level unless you already have mills and mills.
