Considering 2 ppl just got scammed for buying keys that don't exist.....

 

The list on the support page is not a FULL list. Only around 80-90% of Retail Steam Redeemable Keys are listed there.

People need to know only one thing. If the developers of a random game used the Steamworks technology (integrated into the game and controlled by Devs from here), then 100% the Retail Keys will be Steam Redeemable.

Exception in that rule can make special AMD/Other Companies Promotions (for example DiRT 3, which is a GFWL game, NOT a Steam redeemable, no Steamworks technology integrated from Codemasters!).

But mostly it doesn't matter where you have received and activated the game - on Steam, on EA Origin, on the Retail Setup/Installer (downloaded Retail DVD from Internet – p2p or 1-Click-File-Hosters), Ubisoft, etc., when the end result is the same, a.k.a. – playing legal (with all achievements, multiplayer, friends, chats, etc.) .
