Essay topic help.. :)

In my composition class we have to write a formal argumentative essay over a controversial topic.

I need 5 ideas!

I'd like to hear some of your ideas!

 

Abortion
Animal testing
Death sentence
Euthanasia
Drinking age? Im not sure about the last one, but the above few are definately good. I've done a few RE essays on the first 4, and trust me, there is tonnes to write.

 

maybe do one life after death?? what happens.

 

Abortion and the death sentence are really good ones.

1. Adoption (Something even more controversial with this topic would be whether homosexuals should be allowed to adopt or not).
2. Genetic engineering
3. Medical marijuana
4. Curfews
5. Violence in movies and video games

When I sat my RE GCSE we did loads of different controversial topics:
Abortion
Fertility Treatment
Euthanasia
WMD's
Animal Cruelty
Global Warming

 

Stem cells, medical chronic, euthanasia, mars colonization, mormons, lowering drinking age

 

Argumentative essays regarding a controversial topic are always tricky, as its up to the writers subjective standpoint to convince the reader that what you say is (morally) correct. Here's hoping you don't have a biased professor! Thats usually not the case, but, pick a touchy subject and you may very well offend the person in control of your grade.

Thanks everybody! I forgot to help that Abortion and the death penalty were off limits because my professor doesn't like them.

I'm thinking it's between;
