Why are so many people obsessed with My little pony?

I don't get it, almost everywhere I go there is a group of people who love My little pony, it's such a dumb show made for little girls but people act like it's the best because they think it's cool, it reminds me of people who wear pink because they want to say pink is a manly color even though it's obvious it was a color made to suit girls, what's up with ponies?

 

Do you guys like ponies or something?

Probably because of all the Nostalgia.
Secretly, everybody loved the Powerpuff Girls when they were young, but were afraid to admit it because of the chance that they would be called "gay." Thus, they could not talk openly about their love for the show.

However now, the creators of PPG created a new show, My Little Pony and they are showing their affection for these wonderful ponies.
