    I wouldn't go as far to say that it's obsolete, but its a very limited plugin i don't find any practical value in.

    it's great...i like it's networking library, though most of the time i just use ASIO. i wouldn't really call SDL a plugin like you did. it's a multimedia library.

    Great :) You should also try OGRE 3D this is great for 3d games unlike SDL which is 2D
