Need to get away from porn

I had the same problem. Not to sound gross...but if you have an urge to watch it...i suggest you go to your bedroom and choke the chicken...no joke. I had to do that, and I finally got rid of the addiction. Also, porn DOES affect you mentally. It will make you very bad with girls, you won't be able to communicate with them very well when you constantly look at porn.

 

I found that the way I got over porn was watching it too much. Basically I watched it once a day everyday last year and now I'm just bored cause it's the same thing over and over.. I tried different categories and it was fun while it lasted.. but now I basically don't think about it that much anymore.
If you don't wanna get over it by over watching, then I guess you should do what everyone else is suggesting, setting up pop up blockers to porn sites and other stuff.

 

If you really feel liek you need to get away, use some of the measures here, and if anything pops up just control yourself and let it be. you'll do fine, im sure.

 

You can remove the wifi from your iPod so you can't connect. Unless you use it for other purposes.. but you can just use your computer with adult sites blocked

 

Try and weem yourself down less and less everyday, say you masturbate 4 times a day, go down to 3 then after a few days go to 2 and then eventually once a day, and then to once every 2 days, do this until you're happy with how often you masturbate.

 

If the ipod is the issue, why not give it to a friend for a week or something, see how you do.

 

Man I love porn seriously.. I'm gonna be honest. I have a girlfriend but I stil LUVVV porn dude, don't quit.. You dunno what your missin!

 

I don't understand the problem with it? How does it affect your life in a bad way?

 

Ever since I got a girlfriend I haven't watched porn at all. I think you need to just start talking to some girls, maybe try having sex (not trying to force upon, but moreso have you consider it to feed your addiction) and see how it goes from there.

 

Just wanted to update with my progress

I've been essentially porn-free since the new year. I have more energy I'm more social and I'm in general more optimistic. Call it placebo/propaganda/whatever you want. I still masturbate on average 3 times a week. I essentially just told myself I could do it.
