Range Tank Or Barrows Pure?

I've always wanted to play on a range tank but I'm not sure how to build one that would be unique, and fun to play on. How would:

75/75/99, with 99 range, 94-99 magic (veng), and 74 prayer (rigour) be?

I don't know a think about making tanks, but I have already a good tip is to not let your attack and strength combined go above 140 or 150 to keep you within the best combat level range for tanks.

Also - would 74 prayer be the max you should go with that build (for rigour)? Or would it still be beneficial to get 95 for soulsplit and some of the other curses? And how about HP level.... should you let that fall where it would be naturally? Or should you burst/barrage your magic to 99 to ensure that you would definitely get 99 HP (from range, magic, defence training all together)?

Yeah I would imagine that alot of tanks would PK with a cCbow. Especially if your a real tank, and your attack and strength are low, you most likely won't be holding an expensive melee KO weapon (like claws or ags). So it would make sense to bring along the best range gear you can possibly bring. I would think so atleast lol.

BTW - Can somebody please comment on my previous post and the questions about making a ranged tank? I am very interested in making one in the near future that has the exact stats I outlined. Just want to get peoples opinions on whether or not that would be a good build, and if there is anything I could do to improve it and make it better.

No, I was asking some questions about them earlier and wanted to know if these wood be good stats:

I don't know much about range tanks, and I have never been fortunate enough to play on one. But I have heard that they are alot of fun to play with, so I have considered making a fairly advanced range tank once I am done my current character and looking for a new project. Those stats ^ were what I currently had in mind, but I want some opinions first before I go out and make something like that.

 

Looks good except I recommend 95 prayer but thats just me Id do it for Turmoil/Soul split

 

I could see the benefit of Soulsplit, but isn't Turmoil only for melee attacks? Since I am planning on staying low attack and strength and not using too many melee weapons, would Turmoil even benefit me in any way?

Yeah well rigour is epic as it is, and getting 74-95 prayer would give you alot of unnecessary combat levels. Soulsplit would definitely be useful, but as far as I'm aware, I thought that turm was only a melee prayer?

If you stayed 74 you would not only be lower combat, but it would be much easier to get your dungeoneering to 75 to buy rigour, than it would be to spend another 150M getting to 95 prayer (aswell as spending weeks and weeks getting all the reqs you need to do Temple at Sennisten).

This is just my thoughts, but I really wouldn't know so I would love to hear from somebody who does... one of my concerns though, would be getting destroyed be kids with turm who are the same cb lvl. I would hope that the high defence + vengeance would come in handy then

Well that would be useful of course. But with 99 defence already, would it really be worth the defence boost you get from turmoil to get the extra 21 prayer levels? I would THINK that it wouldn't, but I don't really know. I guess I would start out by getting rigour and go from there. If it wasn't working, then maybe start working towards getting the curses.

And yeah I know turm is much cheaper now and that I exaggerated a bit lol, but its still really expensive if you go the Frost Dragon route (like most people do because of the time it saves). Personally, I'm a cheap ass and don't have alot of money so I wen't with infernal ashes. At the time my choices were: save 20M and have to run an extra 5k items to the altar, or spend the extra 20M on the Dragon Bones, but have 5k less items to run. I figured 5k is just an extra day and I would rather have the 20M

Nah it's not really, I wouldn't get above 74 prayer on a range tank as rigour gives good range and def boosts.

I don't think anyone should use frost dragon bones personally, they are for legit players who want prayer xp fast . If you bot it you can do it in the same time (maybe faster) but save 50m.

And yeah, I'm sure if you botted prayer it wouldn't matter what you used to train, but I assumed we were talking legit here I am getting turm legit on my barrows pure right now. Frosties are absolutely amazing if you want to use them for prayer, but IMO the price just isn't worth it unless you have a few hundred mil to blow. I would rather save that money and use it elsewhere.
