How to bypass the YouTube Age Limit

YouTube giving you a hard time because you're below 18 or you simply cannot be arsed to login?

How do we bypass this? Simple. Just embed it on, say, a forum post. Embedding is very easy, but if you don't know how to do that, here's how: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1054875



But of course, this can't bypass every single video. This is because some videos have embedding disabled!

An extremely short guide, I know. But it might be helpful for a few people out there.

There use to be a method where you could change one of the characters in the url and you could bypass it but its been patched. Thanks for this method anyways, pretty good video as well.

 

Yes, but some people register with their real age, and have to wait a few years before they're able to watch 18+ videos. You could just make another account with an earlier birth date, but what if you already have a decent amount of subscribers, and cannot switch so easily? It would be very painful to have to log into another account just to watch a video.

True that it can be painful if you can't switch so easily, but some people won't mind just to watch a video with explosions or material that could be violence, it's youtube after all, the source of entertainment and knowledge of the bigger world.

Lol when I made an account when I was like 14 I put I was like 25 cause I knew something would happen if I put my real age.

 

Or, if you don't want to litter forums with age-restricted videos:

1)Take the URL of the restricted video: http://www.youtube.com/[B]watch?v=[/B]We-PaJTwjvw
2)Remove the watch?v= part and replace it with v/, like so: http://www.youtube.com/[B]v/[/B]We-PaJTwjvw
3)Watch your woman-giving-birth.avi or whatever it is that you're trying to see

LOL.. I must say, that... I've never had to deal with this. My youtube says I'm 101. Anyway, that video.. was funny.. At first I was like.. they're stupid, and from rural america- like my town. Then I was sorta like.. LAWL! He sucks at fighting and got powneed! :3

 

You can always just preview a post to see the video, but I guess your method is more effective.

Wait so my YouTube account that's registered as 16 can magically view videos that require to be 18 or over? Because I know I can watch them on it, and have done so before..
