Range Tank Or Barrows Pure?

Which do you prefer Range Tank Or Barrows Pure Explain Why

Me:

I personally choose Range Tank Due to its massive combo's for example I would combo like:

Vengence + Retribution + Rune CBow With Dragon Bolts + DFS

 

I've never had a chance to play on a ranged tank But I have a barrows pure and I love it! I think a ranged tank would be so much fun to play on though.. I have considered making one in the future when my other accounts are finished, or buying one down the road sometime.

 

How does a Barrows pure work exactly never tried it before.

Well I've got 75 defence instead of 70, and don't really consider it a "pure", but a "Barrows pure" would be the best way to describe it. Currently my stats are 95/99/75, with 99 ranged, 99 magic, and 95 prayer (still finishing the reqs to do Temple at Sennisten though). So the char is not completely finished, but when it is I will have 99/99/75, 99 ranged, 99 magic, 95 prayer with turm

I find that its fun to PK on as you are still a fairly low combat level for how strong you are, have ALOT of freedom in what style you choose to PK, the loot is good (Expensive hybrid gear, Dharok fights etc.), and you can hybrid very well and are pretty much able to use any gear you'd like. I've had some success with PKing on him so far, but I would easily get owned by people with turm, chaotics, korasi, veng etc. (I didn't have any of these as I am oldschool, quit in 2005 and just came back in June to all these new weapons, spells, curses, armour and quests. The wildy is VERY different now and its taken me 3.5 months to max out and get caught up)

But, for the past month I have only been training, but I'm almost finished! I have veng now, and will have enough QP for barrows gloves by the time I do the 8 pre required quests + Temple at Sennisten. I will also be able to use turmoil then, and will have a rapier to PK with (only a few dung levels away from 200k tokens), aswell as 99 attack. So there is probably someone on here who can give you better info about what its like to PK on a barrows pure, as mine is still a work in progress (although I'm SO close to being done and am getting very excited ). If I stop being so lazy though, I could easily have my character finished in about 2-3 weeks. However, I spend way too much time on Sythe now + I have lots of homework, so I am allowing myself more like 4 - 6 weeks until I have met all the requirements for TaS and am fully quested

But the main benefits are simple, and mostly what I stated above.

Hell no! The account is 100% legit and I will most likely keep it that way, unless I decide to go ahead and train a few of its dung levels with Idungeon Pro. I've spent the last 3.5 months of my life wasting away at a computer 10 hours a day trying to train this account and get it up to modern PKing standards, so there is no way in hell I am going to risk that getting flushed down the toilet

My old main however, is currently being botted as we speak I don't really care about him anymore.

 

Well my main is very close to a barrows pure, it has 76 def. I had veng, barrows gloves etc and I'm goin to pm on it when I get 95 prayer . So I think heir better than range tanks. With 75 def u can do everything a range tank can do, just with a little bit less defence.

99 range, 75 defense.

I loved that combo before I turned my pure into a main.

You get the cbow and the DFS, plus all the snazzy barrows armour.

Love karils with veracs helm though. Just a personal favorite.

 

Be both... 75 defence range tank... use cannon to dh axe

 

I have a maxed range tank and I really love it. It was my first ever runescape account and it's still my favorite to play

100% ranged tank. I had an average range tank, and I had much more fun with it than I did with my convereted barrows pure (from zerker).

Tbh, I don't even think a barrows pure should exist. They're poor in comparison to most other accounts. I mean... it's hard to explain... but it seems like a stupid concept. I mean, you gain 25 defence levels for better armour? It just seems 'anti-pure' to me. I'd rather keep it at 45, get hit hard, venge hard, dds spec hard. Always worked for me. I earned a lot less, and lost a lot more from being a barrows.

Anyway yeah... I loved my range tank. Shame it got banned I cba to bot another one back up as well now :/

 

I've always wanted to make a maxed tank So I'd go for that.

I myself like barrows pures, I love to max hit with Dh brings such a rush =)

 

I hate rushers lol

 

No maxing brings a Rush to me.

How long does it take to make a maxed Tank?

 

Um I think maxxed range tank stats are like


70-80 Attack

99 Strength

70-99 Defence

99 Range

95-99 Pray

94 Magic For Veng.

 

I would go with barrows pure they are pretty fun when you get maxed and able to do almost everything.
