Frankie just got caught by Gray. He has the heart of a champion though.
They can't jump shit due to title clause most likely.

No one is referring back to Mcdonald/Condit? Condit was on his back and got the TKO last few seconds in the 3rd round. Condit is a beast, most of the people don't know how beast he is until you watch all his highlights from WEC.

GSP will not choose to take him down right away, he only goes into blanket mode when he knows he has the upper hand in wrestling and it is the gameplan for the fight. He didn't sleep on Fitch/Koscheck/Hughes the whole fight for that reason.

Well Rory was able to control the first two rounds with takedowns and tagging condit. Then Rory gassed and Condit proceeded to give rory the biggest beatdown of his life. The thing is, GsP inst going to gas and probably could easily take down Condit.

He didnt sleep on Fitch/Kos/Hughes becuse he would expend way too much energy taking down 3 NCAA Div 1 wrestlers perhaps?. Taking Condit should be a breeze.

And they are ending this year with so many good events. Im blown away, i mean JDS vs Cain, Brock vs Overeem, Shogun vs Hendo, Machida vs Jones, GsP vs Condit and so much more. Best two i've ever seen from the UFC

Oh and Guillard's chin is complete crap, just saw his fight against Joe Stevenson, he got drop'd by a jab, and the shot he took from Lauzon looked small as well like a half of a weird looking hook. Cant believe you considered him vs Bendo, all bendo needed to do was touch that shit while Guillard dances around like a moron with his hands down.

That stoppage was very questionable though. He also got destroyed for two rounds. Condit is a beast, but watching highlights in the WEC were he wasn't facing top UFC competition means jack shit.
..... Guillard has an average chin. It isn't crap. He has problems with stiff jabs though. Shane Roller tagged him, who has power and he wasn't hurt at all. He just needs to keep his hands up. I still think Guillard could beat Bendo. If it goes to the ground he is obviously done, but Guillard could easily KO Bendo on the feet.
I agree with the fact that these event are stacked.

I doubt Guillard would KO Bendo tbh, he doesnt have the mental strength and i think he would choke. Title shots and No 1 contender shots would screw him over. Also i would like to see him face some bigger names. Jim Miller vs Guillard or Maynard vs Guillard next. If he considers himself top 10, he better start calling out top 10 fighters.

Mental strength doesn't always = being able to hold up and win/lose
He just came into this fight too confident, stupid mistake on his part. I am willing to bet he will come back strong.

Iunno he seems a bit chinny as well, im pretty sure he'll come back strong fighting lower tier fighters like shane roller and etc. Like i said, Maynard, Jim Miller or even Sean Pierson He has to call these guys out. His best win is over Evan Dunham. Other than that hes basically fighting lower tier fighters.

Pierson is a WW though. I think Guillard-Maynard sounds great tbh. Maybe not for Maynard, but for Guillard it is.

I personally believe Guillard would tool Maynard. Maynard has power, but Melvin is much MUCH better on the feet and has good wrestling to stay up. Ross Pearson is too low down in the rankings imo to get Guillard.
    Maybe Stephens-Guillard II

I wouldnt say Guillard is past Ross at all. Stephens hasnt fought anyone good till Pettis and got outclassed by Pettis. Ross is a tough matchup for anyone. He won vs Edson IMO.

I don't know how Pettis out classed him. It was a wrestling match that Pettis won.
I though Edson won, but he was very unconvincing. He hasn't looked great since the Mike Lullo win.

When you have worst wrestling than Pettis that means something. Pearson is a TuF winner and defintely one of the top guns, the way he moved in the barboza fight, he pratically eliminated Barboza's standup. Other than that one knockdown barboza looked almost uncomfortable.

Question... Who do you think is going to win. Jon Jones or Machida?

I personally think that Jon Jones will retain his title vs machida

Ben askren trains at Roufussport now. He is olympic wrestler, obviously helped his own wrestling. Pearson is good but he needs to drop to FW most likely.
I think Jones will win, but Machida could certainly beat him. Machida has great takedown defense and very unorthodox striking.

Bleh, i still think Pettis has a weakness to guys like Guida AKA people who look to pressure for a takedown ASAP.

Jone is the favorite but i would never count out Machida, as i feel Machida is coming into this fight to win. Machida's style is impossible to emulate thus Jone does not have anyone to spar with that has Machida's style. While Jone's striking style A.S. could easily do with much more efficiency since he was the original. Machida knows how to manhandle wrestlers like noone else and in all regards i think Machida could wrestle pretty good.

I remember the slip he had during the first Shogun fight and Shogun rushed in to takedown Machida while he was still off balanced and Machida still stuffed it and got up. either Shogun's wrestling is unbelievably terrible or Machida's TTD is top notch.

In the end, i would never count machida out and i'd say its a fight neither fighter is clear to win. Everyone else expects Jones to steamroll Machida but its like a coin toss to me.

His weak spot is wrestling. It is getting better though.
I think Machida has a huge chance to win this fight, but Jones should be the favorite, like he is.
I think Machida will kick his chicken legs too, and it could change the fight.

What Shogun should have done was keep landing those kicks. Shogun knows how to get back up and he did plenty of times. Just keep kicking them, its a 5 rounder, instead shogun stop doing it. JJ's legs are his greatest foe as well. After the Rampage fight, Jone's had problems with his own legs not from being kicked but from kicking!.

If Jones beats Machida, i wouldn tbe suprised, if Machida beats Jones i wouldnt be suprised. Machida stylisticaly would be Jone's living nightmare, a technical striker with impressive TTD. When people thought machida was going to fight Davis everyone felt Davis is being fed to Machida.
