1 Defence Pure Guide

To start out, your probobly thinking why should i go 1 defense? Well if your a succesfull 1 defense pure and your fighting a 20 defense pure you should have better combat stats than them. Sure, you can't tank as well as them in clan wars but the purpose of 1 defense pures is mainly for pking.

Types of 1 Defense Pures:

Ranger's:
Rangers are good for pking because, if somebody is farcasting you, or you can farcast them, Its also a necessity when hybriding.

I: Getting Started:
After you get finished with the tutorial, You should be awarded with 2 XP lamps. Use those both on range, that will give you a quick start and put you at 6 range. Then go to the grand exchange and go through the tutorial. After your finished with it, you can find a nice person and ask them to lend you 3k. Now you should be about 6 range and have 4k. Start out and go to draynor village, and withdraw your coins. Next go to the rune shop in port sarim. Buy about 100 - 200 eye's of newt's. You spent 600 coins on 200 eye's of newts, go to grand exchange and sell them, you should now have 12k.


Next, with your 12-15k, Buy the bows up to magic, buy 1k bronze arrows, and some food. Then homeport to lumbridge, Go to the bank and withdraw: bow, arrows, and food. Then head over to cows Pickup the cowhides and bank. You will have to kill 497 cows. That is 18 trips!, With your 497 cowhides go to grand exchange and sell them you should now have 55k.



Next, You are now 20 range with 55k! I suggest you head over to rock crabs, Train there until 50 ranged! After 50 ranged, It is up to you, you can kill rock crabs, or switch over to fire giants, but i recommend to do rock crabs to 60 ranged. Now you should do ogres from 60 - 70.

To train to 80 ranged from 70 these are some places:
Fire giants (waterfall quest) Pickup rune scimitars, d meds, etc.
Ogres (biohazard quest) Pickup Ranarr Seeds
Rock crabs(not recomended)

Now your 80 range huh? Want to speed up the XP?
I now recommend bandits or zamorak warriors.(chaos rift)
both require prayer potions, but i recommend zamorak warriors because you can get your money back.

Melee's:
Melee's Are good because they are capable of hitting Very high.

Now 20 Attack! Repeat what you did for strength, but on attack mode.

Now you should have 20 attack and 20 strength with 100k.

First, I recommend you doing waterfall quest, and death plateau: waterfall quest gives you 13k xp to strength and attack, and death plateau gives a little bit of attack xp And climbing boots(2 str bonus).

Then, Head over to rock crabs. Stay over there until 40 attack and 60 strength. Then you have to make a decision, Do you want to be a mauler? Or a D scimmy pure?

If You chose mauler: Just get 50 attack and buy a granite maul.

If You chose D scim: Do. Lost City, The grand tree, Tree gnome village, and monkey madness. Then train to 60 attack and buy a dragon scimitar and a dragon dagger.

Now if you chose mauler, your basically stuck at rock crabs for till you get higher strength(90+) or decide to get 60 attack.

When your 60 attack: Stay at rock crabs to 80 strength. Then after 80 strength you can do bandits or zamorak warriors.


Hybrid's
Hybrids are great for pking, because if somebody uses overhead prayers on you, you can switch your attack style.

I: Getting started.
Basically do what rangers, and melee's do:

But you will have to probobly get magic and do desert treasure.
1-13 mage: wind strike in full iron.
13-19 Mage: Fire Strike in full iron.
19-55 Mage: Curse the snakes in the ardrounge zoo on the bridge, where full iron.
55-94 Mage: I recommend doing High alch because it is basically the cheapest. What you do is buy nature runes in the grand exchange, for yew longs i recommend world 132 yanelle bank.

Money Making

Skilling
The best money making skill in my opinion would be hunter.
For 1 - 63 hunter read a hunter guide.
At 63: Hunt red chinchompas to 83.


When you are 83, this is when you start racking in the big Coins.
Head over to the impetious impulses minigame with some binds/snares/entangles. Hop worlds and walk around the square looking for dragon implings, When you manage to catch one. DONT OPEN IT! Sell it at the grand exchange for about 500k!

Monster Killing
1: Aviansies, these are a really good way to make money on a ranger, almost every pure site has a guide on them, You can also kill metal dragons, or do barrows, or kill other high level monsters.

Pk'ing
Pking is profitable if you build up your drop potential after it run's out, you get this by risking 75k for 30 minutes in a hotzone

Amulet: Glory > Strength ammy
Top: Monk Robe

Hat: Ghostly hood > Hat > Nothing

Gloves: Mithril Gloves > Nothing
Cape: Fire Cape > Team Cape > Nothing
Ring: Recoil > Nothing
Inventory: 1 super attack, 1 super strength, 2 prayer potions(4), Drag Dagger(P++), 23 Sharks.

Ranger's:
Weapon: MSB > Rune C Bow
Amulet: Glory > Power > Nothing
Top: Monk Robe > Leather body > Nothing
Bottom: Black d' Hide Chaps > Monk Robe > Nothing
Arrows: Rune Arrows > Dragon Bolts > Diamond Bolts
Hat: Coif > Ghostly Hood > Hat > Nothing
Shield: None
Boots: Climbing Boots > Nothing
Gloves: Black Vambs > Mithril Gloves > Nothing

Prayer
Prayer plays a key role for pures.

Rangers:

1 Prayer - 1 prayer is great for low level rangers, your usually the lowest level with the higher range.
8 prayer - its for that first range boosting prayer, it really isnt worth the combat level.
13 prayer - from Doing desert treasure, if you really want to stay low level keep it, other wise go up to 26 prayer for the next range boosting prayer.
26 Prayer - This is a great level prayer to have if your trying to stay low level. You get protect item, and the next range boosting prayer.
44 Prayer - This is probably the best level if you are trying to maintain a low level, you have access to all of the range boosting prayers, And The protection prayers.
52 Prayer - This prayer is a must for higher levels, you will be fighting people who will be smiting you, you will want to be smiting them back.

Melee's

1 Prayer - This is great for stakers back in the day but i dont see a point for it any more.
13 Prayer - Great prayer to have, for people who did dt, plus you get the first strength booster.
25 Prayer - Good to have for protect item but, just go for 31 for the best strength booster.
31 Prayer - Key To have if your trying to stay lower level. Best strength prayer for pures.
34 Prayer - Another very good level to have if your trying to maintain a low level pure, you get the best strength prayer and best attack prayer for pures, a must have for 60 attack pures.
43 Prayer - Great prayer, this protects you from being rushed and pjed, because people wont bother messing with you when they see this over your head.
52 Prayer - A must if you plan on Pk'ing any more valuable stuff than dragon daggers and rune arrows.

It's a very simple Google search.. just Google the first line of the guide and you will find a site that has it.
I remember the name marcus/markus recently that posted the exact same guide, also asking for donations or something for his 'guide'. I'm starting to think that he's ban evading.. I'm gonna look for that thread.
